LBSIM New Delhi: IIM-Ahmedabad trained Prof D K Srivastava joins as new Director

Prof.D.K. Srivastava, a Gold Medalist at PG level in Commerce stream with a Doctoral Degree from University of Allahabad has been appointed as Director at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM) New Delhi has got its new director. Prof. D.K. Srivastava, an IIM Ahmedabad trained faculty (FDP Batch 1992) and with more than 30 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, research, training and consultancy, has joined LBSIM New Delhi as Director.

Prof Srivastava has worked with top-notch academic and research Institutes like Shri Ram Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources, New Delhi, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and as an Adjunct Faculty at IIM Lucknow. He was Dean, School of Management and Labour Studies for three years at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai Campus. Prior to joining LBSIM as Director, Prof Srivastava was heading Guwahati Campus of TISS as Deputy Director (Pro- Vice Chancellor).

LBSIM New Delhi is a leading management institute in the country. The Institute provides value-based education to equip young managers with requisite skill-sets, making them corporate ready.

Prof Srivastava has worked with eminent Institutes such as Asia Graduate School of Business. He has provided leadership to Centre for Human Resource Management at TISS for five years and as a Dean, School of Management and Labour studies at TISS Mumbai for three years.

He has been a leading trainer/resource person in about 30 Organisations. As a versatile administrator, Prof Srivastava has been in strategic core committees like UGC NAAC, Institute of Eminence, Academic Council, UGC NET, among others. He has guided more than 20 students at M.Phil./ Ph.D.

International Exposure
He was a Visiting Professor at Cairo University, Egypt, ICDD Kassel University Germany, Berlin School of Economics and Muenster University Germany and headed a delegation to Myanmar for collaborations with TISS.

Prof Srivastava has provided consultancy to many national and international agencies like ILO, FES Germany, Britannia, Philips, Goa Electricity Corporation, Pepsico International, Punjab and Sind Bank, Pepsico Fritolay, Tata Memorial Hospital, Asian Paints, Crompton Greaves, Indofil Industries, NTPC, Goa Shipyard Limited, Cummins India, among others.

He has published more than 40 Papers/Articles/Book Reviews in national and international journals. Recent research Papers are:

He has completed about 25 research projects both at National and International levels. Most recent are with Skill Development and Conditional cash transfer scheme of UP Government. He has also a patent in his name.
Established in the year 1995 in memory of second Prime Minister of India, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri LBSIM aims to impart value based education in Management and IT at affordable cost. The Association of Indian Universities (AIU)has granted the PGDM from LBSIM equivalence to MBA programme.

LBSIM has a high Placement record. The B-school recorded average salary of Rs.8.5 lakhs and highest salary of Rs. 21 lakhs in Placement 2017. There were 118 recruiters who visited the campus for placement.
Eligible candidates who have appeared for CAT 2017 and plan to take admission to 2-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) at LBSIM for the batch 2018-20 are required to register at LBSIM, Delhi through a separate Application Form which is available along with Information Brochure from AdmissionCoordinator,LBSIM,Delhi or the candidates can register online also by December 31, 2017.
