Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi to organize Building India Inc 08
Out of need springs desire, and out of desire springs the energy and the will to win. Is this the will that propels India forth in these times of uncertainty?
To deliberate on the current global turmoil and the role India Inc can play, Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi will be holding its annual national business summit titled Building India Inc 2008 on November 1-2, 2008. The theme of the Summit is Super Brand India.
The summit is an attempt to bring together the corporate and the academia to deliberate on issues and challenges facing the nation and share their experiences and views with the larger audience, says IIT DMS.
Under the theme of Super Brand India, the summit will deliberate on issues like cross-border investments, innovation and infrastructure across two days divided into four sessions.
Inaugural session will have management guru and author Gurucharan Das and Mr. Krishan Kalra, Secretary General, PHD chambers.
The session on Cross-Border Investments: Managing the Downturn will be addressed by Mr. Adesh Jain, Chairman, Council of Delegates, IPMA; Mr. Ambuj Jain, Controller, Foreign Exchange, Jubliant Organosys; Mr. Amit Khosla, Managing Director, AsiaBridge Capital Advisers Private Limited; Ms. Kalpana Jain, Senior Director, Deloitte; and Mr. Manish Aggarwal, DGM Finance, Honda Cars.
The session on Innovation and Quality: Building a Resilient India will be addressed by Mr. Brijesh Kapil, Director, Ranbaxy Global Consumer Healthcare; Mr. Parikshit Sharma, Vice President, Business Development, Lifestyle Stores; Mr. Sudhir Banerjee, Global Business Director, Global Customer Support Center, Honeywell India; and Mr. Salil Aggarwal, Country Head, Eicher Consulting.
Mr. A P Verghese, Executive Director (LNG), IOCL; Mr. Arun Bhalla, Executive Director (BD), Power Trading Corporation; Mr. Deepak Bajaj , Director, Unitech Reality Investors; Mr. Prem Subramanium, Principal, Business Development, IDFC; and Mr. Rajeev Chak , VP, Adani Group will addresses the topic of Infrastructure: Catering to Needs, Creating Opportunities.
The Conclave on Politics plus Business: A Bitter Cocktail ? will be addressed by Mr. Pavan Chaudhary, CEO, Vygon India; Mr. Pratyush Kumar, CEO GE Infrastructure; Mr. Rajiv Karwal, CEO Milagrow and Mr. Rohit Mahajan, CEO, Saviance Technology.
