NHRDN organizes 2nd Dr Udai Parikh lecture by Dr Pritam Singh
NHRDN recently organized the 2nd Udai Pareek Memorial Lecture at Jaipur. Padmashri Dr. Pritam Singh delivered the lecture on Leadership Challenges: Mantra to Lead.
National HRD Network (NHRDN) recently organized 2nd Udai Pareek Memorial Lecture at Jaipur. Contemplating the ever growing need of leadership in every field, the topic of the lecture was Leadership Challenges: Mantra to Lead which was delivered by Padmashri Dr. Pritam Singh, an eminent scholar of Management Education and Director-General, IMI.
Union Minister Dr. C. P. Joshi was the Chief Guest on the function organized in the memory of Late Prof Udai Pareek. Welcoming the initiative taken up by NHRDN, Dr Joshi said that such lectures lead us to think how management expertise can be effectively utilized in Indias political system to make it a truly participative democracy. He stressed that the need of the hour is to identify and understand the kind of unstructured leadership challenges and accordingly find the likely solutions to these challenges.
Delivering his lecture on Leadership Challenges: Mantra to Lead, Padmashri Dr. Pritam Singh, spoke on contextual imperatives which determine whether a particular strategy is good or bad. Through his lecture, he showed his concern on business and political world having become like a situation of war. He stressed that the agenda of political parties should not be above the agenda of the country, and that for a larger cause we must know how to crucify and sacrifice. He further discussed the importance of imbibing agility, flexibility and a sense of responsiveness in the youth.
Dr Singh discussed the importance of purpose in order to lead. He said people follow dream and vision and not the leader per se. He said that our Dharma is to fight for the causes and we need to develop such mindsets. He concluded the lecture by emphasizing that we should compete and collaborate so that we can progress together as one country.
Dr Ashok Bapna, President, Jaipur chapter & Advisor, IILM AHL, Jaipur, in his opening speech commended the initiative of NHRDN for launching Udai Pareek Students Scholarship.
Mr S. Y. Siddiqui, National President, NHRDN & COO, Administration (HR, IT, Finance & COSL), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, in his message conveyed the new initiatives taken up by NHRD like collaboration of NHRD with professional within India and overseas, signing of MoU with IIM Ranchi after the successful collaboration with MDI, Gurgaon and other such initiative.
Following the thought provoking lecture, Chief Guest Dr. C. P. Joshi along with the Dr. Pritam Singh and other esteemed guests released the First Monograph of First Prof. Udai Pareek Memorial lecture given by Dr. T.V.
