Analysis of admissions, faculty and placements data
Below is the performance of IIM Raipur on some of the specific criterion Number of permanent faculty, total seats, median domestic salary and fees for 2013.
According to the MBAUniverse.com survey data, IIM Raipur has a total number of 120 seats. The number of permanent and visiting faculty at IIM Raipur is 14 and 34 respectively. Total Fees for 2013-15 batch at IIM Raipur was Rs.9.6 lakhs while average placement 2013 was Rs. 12.03 lakhs

Analysis of IIM Raipur admission criteria and selection process 2014-16:
The basic objective of IIM Raipurs admission process is to identify meritorious candidates for admission under each category of admission, viz., General, NC-OBC, SC, ST and DAP.
The admission process of IIM Raipur consists of:
a. CAT Examination
b. Short listing Candidates for Personal Appearance (PA) process
c. Conducting the PA process. PA process is composed of Written Analysis Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI), and
d. Preparing the admission list based on CAT score, PI & WA score and Profile score asindicated in following tables.
1. Criteria for Short listing for PA (WAT) process
The CAT percentile will be used for short listing candidates for WAT and PI. The tentative category-wise minimum percentile is as follows:
The IIM Raipur Admission Committee will decide the number of candidates to be called for PA process on the basis of short listed merit list prepared for each category.
However, if the actual number of shortlisted candidates were found to be less (more) than the required number of candidates to be called for PI/WAT category-wise, then theoverall as well as section wise minimum score would be reduced (increased) to get the desired number of candidates.
The six new IIMs (Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Trichy and Udaipur) have decided to adopt a common process of WAT & PI to be coordinated this year by IIM Trichy. In case any of the older IIMs (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode and Lucknow) are willing to share their WAT & PI scores with the six new IIMs, the common candidates who have applied to new IIMs, need not to appear for WAT & PI process separately, else they have to appear. The common candidates will be intimated the names of older IIMs sharing WAT & PI scores with new IIMs in due course of time.
2. Criteria for Preparing the Merit List
The criteria for preparing the Merit List will be as follows
1. CAT Score : 40%
2. Personal Appearance (WAT & PI) : 40%
3. Profile : 20%

IIM Raipur will use CAT 2013 score
1. Personal Appearance (40%):
IIM Raipur will consider the following weightage
Written Analysis Test (WAT) : 10%
Personal Interview (PI) : 30%
2. Profile (20%):
The following weightages will be considered for profiling
Academic Profile: 30% of Profile weight
Work experience: 30% of Profile weight
Diversity: 40% of Profile weight
For Academic Profile (30% of profile), following will be the weights
10th Standard: 5%
12th Standard: 10%
Under Graduation: 15%
Diversity (40% of Profile)
While merit is the prime consideration, IIM Raipur also wishes to promote diversity in its PGP. Hence, it strives to ensure a better balance between gender and among various academic disciplines. Female: 20%, Else = 0
Offer Acceptance Fee and Withdrawal
A candidate receiving admission offer from IIM Raipur and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to send along with Offer Acceptance an Offer Acceptance Amount of Rs.50,000/-. If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date specified in the Offer Letter, Offer Acceptance Amount will be refunded after deducting 20% as processing charges. If a candidate applies for withdrawal after the date specified in the Offer Acceptance, no refund will be admissible. If a candidate registers for the programme, his/her Offer Acceptance Amount will be adjusted against Term I Fee. In the event of withdrawal from the Programme after registration, NO refund of Offer Acceptance Amount, Term Fee or any other amount will be made.
