The next and final round of CAT 2014 will be held on November 23. More than 90,000 candidates are expected to take CAT 2014 on this day.
Although Quant was rated moderate, the DI part was found again much difficult by the test takers. Quantitative section was on predictable lines, and Verbal too was only moderately tough. Many of them could not even arrive at the satisfactory answer options despite the fact the date based information was available in the problems. The section had questions related to 'Team-formation', 'Row-housing', and ‘Direction-sense'.Overall the section was lengthy and the difficulty level was high.
CAT 2014 Quantitative section analysis:
This section was on predictable lines. The section had questions related to Arithmetic, Algebra, Trigonometry, Integers and so on.Overall the Quant section in CAT 2014 had moderate difficulty level.
CAT 2014 Verbal Section Analysis
There were three Reading Comprehension (RC) passages in the CAT 2014 paper. Each had four questions. The questions were probing candidates ability to understand and interpret the para. Unlike in past papers, there was no 'what is the tone of the passage' question in RC section.
Verbal section in CAT 2014 had questions on the topics like 'Error correction'. A question asked the test takes to understand 'what is the inference from the passage'.
There were no questions in CAT 2014 Verbal section in areas like Vocabulary & 'Para-completion'.
