IIFT 2014Result declared; 1411 candidate short listed for GDPI

Result for Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) full time MBA(IB) 2015-17 entrance exam has been declared. IIFT has shortlisted 1411 candidates for final admission round and has posted the list on its site. Around 50000+ aspirants appeared in IIFT entrance exam on Nov 23, 2014.

MBA(IB) programme at IIFT is its flagship programme and is available at its New Delhi and Kolkata campuses in India and at Dar-es-Salaam campus in Tanzania. For an intake of around 200+ seats 1411 candidates from all categories have been shortlisted for PI round.

Components of IIFT Final admission round

The shortlisted candidates will have to go through the rigorous process of IIFT final admission round which consists of Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The GD-PI-WAT round for MBA(IB) programme at IIFT is expected to take place from January 2015 onwards and final admission offers are expected to be received by the candidates by the end of March 2015.

IIFT 2014 entrance test for the MBA(IB) batch 2015-17 was conducted on November 23, 2014 at 20 test centres across India namely, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubeneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hydrabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.

IIFT MBA(IB) entrance test is conventional paper pencil mode test which has remained of two hours duration from 10.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon over the years.

IIFT 2014: Exam with a difference

The written admission test 2014 to MBA Programme 2015-17 in IIFT consisted of multiple choice objective type questions (in English) divided in 4 sections. It comprised the questions covering English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis. The candidate could attempt any question from any section during the time allotted to attempt the test in the examination.

IIFT entrance test doesnt have any pre declared fixed number of questions either over all or section wise. Number of questions goes on varying every year in different sections as well as overall. The total number of questions in IIFT entrance test goes anywhere from 115 to 130.

Questions in different sections and sub sections in IIFT entrance exam carry different marking pattern. While overall maximum marks are 100, the maximum marks allotted to different questions vary from 0.5 to 1. Sectional cut offs also play an important role and a candidate has to clear them as well. Penalty of one third marks is awarded for every wrong answer in IIFT 2014 entrance exam for academic session 2015-16.

MBA(IB): High ROI programme

Registration to IIFT MBA(IB) entrance exam opens in the month of July every year. The exam is one of the most preferred ones as the MBA(IB) programme at IIFT offers great learning experience and high placement packages. In the placement season 2014, all the students of Delhi and Kolkata Campuses were placed by 85 companies. The placement witnessed highest international salary package of US$88,500 per annum with highest domestic salary package of INR 24 lakh per annum and overall average salary of INR14.32 lakh per annum.
