MDI Gurgaon commences 22nd academic session with 7 day induction; emphasizes on holistic learning

Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon commenced the 7 day long 22nd induction ceremony on June 15, comprising students belonging to Post Graduate Programs namely Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), PGP- Human Resource Management (PGP-HRM), PGP-International Management (PGP-IM). The week-long induction ceremony aims to unravel the exciting and inspiring academic journey for students in the years ahead.

This year, the induction ceremony was conducted under the revered presence of Chief Guest Ms. Vishpala Reddy, VP Human Resources, American Express India. Sharing her thoughts, she guided the students to Develop growth mindset not focussed only on logical reasoning, but thinking differently & creating yourself as a brand. Mistakes at learning stage are inevitable but it is important to develop the hunger to learn from those mistakes.

Welcoming the new batch, Dr. C.P. Shrimali, Acting Director, MDI Gurgaon spoke about the culture of MDI which gives emphasis only to merit and said MDI is a group of positive minded people who set out to empower its students both mentally and intellectually. We are more than being just a teaching institute. We believe in providing a 360 degree learning experience to our students.

To provide further nuggets of wisdom to the prospective management students, Ms. Rohini Singh, Director, Head of MNC Coverage North India, Deutsch Bank mentored the students to approach everything with passion, fear & certainty.
Mr. Sanjay Mehta, MD Teleperformance and Mr. Sanjeev Aggarwal, MD and CEO, Amplus Solar revealed industry insights and focussed on how vital the forthcoming years will be to lay the foundation of the students growth years and the crucial need to absorb and retain the learning they will be receiving at MDI to cement their future.

This is the reason that the commencement of academic session at MDI Gurgaon is preceded by 7 day induction programme for the new students.

In keeping with its goal of creating fit, healthy and morally upright corporate professionals, a grand celebration for the International Yoga Day that coincides with the last day of the induction ceremony, June 21 has been planned.
Students will enjoy a festival like atmosphere through the induction program, as interactions with various industry stalwarts will be held on topics relating to their real-time experiences as well as issues concerning the corporate world today.
