SNAP 2016: Exam Notification release on Aug 21 confirmed; entrance test on Dec 18

SNAP 2016 exam notification will be released on Sunday August 21, 2016, confirmed Mr Pranav Vyas, the SNAP test head at Symbiosis International University, Pune. Registration process for SNAP 2016 is expected to begin on Monday August 22, and the SNAP test for admission to MBA 2017-19 in all the Symbiosis institutes will be held on December 18, 2016 in paper-pen mode. SNAP 2016 is the only exam the scores of which will be accepted by 14 Symbiosis institutes for admission to their MBA 2017-19 batch.

Sharing with MBAUniverse.com, Mr Vyas said SNAP notification is proposed to be released on Sunday August 21 in leading news papers and the registration for the exam will begin on Monday.

SNAP 2016: Exam pattern
SNAP 2016 will be a paper pen mode Multiple Choice Questions based examination of 2 hours duration from 2 PM to 4 PM. Candidates are allowed with blue or black ball pen, preferably black as the OMR sheet in black ink can be scanned better by the system. The test will comprise 4 sections and the expected total maximum marks would be 180 while maximum marks for each section will be as follows
-- Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension 40 marks
-- General Knowledge and Current Affairs-40 marks
-- Quantitative Ability and data interpretation-40 marks
-- Analytical and logical Ability 60 marks

Although candidates are allowed to attempt any section in any order, sectional cut off will always be there. One has to score at least a minimum cut off score in each of the 4 sections.
SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has 4 responses. Candidate should choose an appropriate response. Each wrong answer attracts25% negative marks

SNAP 2016: Gateway to 14 SIU B-schools
SNAP is an important MBA entrance examination for admission to one of the 14 Symbiosis B-schools affiliated to Symbiosis International University (SIU) who will accept SNAP 2016 scores for their respective 2 years full time flagship MBA batch 2017-19. The test is mandatory for the programs offered at SIBM Pune; SICSR; SCMHRD; SIIB; SITM; SIMS; SIMC Pune; SIOM Nashik; SCIT; SIHS; SIBM Bengaluru; SSBF; SIMC Bengaluru and SIBM Hyderabad.
SNAP 2016: 30 Test Cities
SNAP Dec 2016 test takers will have the option to choose one of the following 30 test cities while going for the registration process.
Agra; Ahmedabad; Allahabad; Bengaluru; Bhopal; Bhubaneshwar; Chandigarh; Chennai; Delhi; Faridabad; Gurgaon; Guwahati; Hyderabad; Indore; Jaipur; Jamshedpur; Kanpur; Kochi; Kolkata; Kolhapur; Lucknow; Mumbai; Nagpur; Nashik; Noida; Patna; Pune; Surat; Vashi and Visakhapatnam.
