CAT 2016 Admit Card: Begin Login Activity now; download at 1 PM without delay

Activity to view and download the CAT 2016 Admit card on CAT website should be started now, an hour before the scheduled time of 1 PM today on October 24. Post closure of CAT 2016 registration process on Sep 27, resulting in higher than in last 7 years registrations reaching to new high of 2.32 lakhs candidates, hectic activities to issue the CAT 2016 admit on time began but due to higher registration and 5 days extension in registration date, the admit card issuance date was also extended from October 18 to October 24.

Since Admit Card is the foremost requirement prescribed by CAT 2016 conducting IIM Bangalore and without this document, candidate will not be allowed to enter the testing centre, you will have to download, save and carry the hard copy of your CAT 2016 Admit card to the examination centre.

Now the message from CAT 2015 conducting IIM Bangalore reads CAT 2016 Admit Cards can be downloaded from 01:00 PM on Monday October 24, 2016.
Admit Card for CAT 2016 will be available from October 24, 2016, 1 PM till exam day. You will have to log onto the CAT website with your registered User ID. The change in schedule of issuing the CAT 2016 admit cards although created a bit of anxiety among CAT 2016 aspirants, still a month remains to plan your travel and make other arrangements to take CAT 2016 on December 4, 2016 at the allotted testing venue and time slot.

Schedule of activities before 1 PM on Oct 24

• -- Switch-on your computer/lap top around 12 Noon, an hour before the scheduled time of CAT 2016 Admit card going to be enabled.
• -- Keep logged in to CAT 2016 website with your existing user ID allotted to you by IIM Bangalore (CAT Centre 2016).
• -- If you have to visit some cyber-caf for the purpose, book your slot from 12.15PM to 1.15PM in advance and take hold of the best system equipped with latest browser versions.
• -- Keep your pen drive with you, if you are going to the cyber-caf, so that you could copy your admit card in it and take prints of the same from it.
• -- Check whether the recommended versions are running well in your system. CAT Centre 2016 has recommended If the registration website is not accessible for any reason, please close your Internet browser and try again
• -- Ensure that you are using the correct versions of the recommended Internet browsers-Internet Explorer 7 to 11 version; Mozilla Firefox 14 to 47; Google Chrome 20 to 51. The best viewed as recommended by CAT Centre 2016 are Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browsers.
• -- Check for the updates, FAQs and details with other icons on CAT 2016 site to know about the current status
• -- Go on refreshing/reloading the CAT 2016 website periodically so that you do not miss any of the updates from CAT Centre 2016.

Admit card for CAT 2016 is expected to be enabled about 5-10 minutes before 1PM today as has been the practice, it will be better to view and download it immediately when it is enabled.

Dont Delay; may cause technical glitches
With 2.32 lakhs of candidates thronging the website simultaneously, even a delay of few minutes in viewing and downloading the CAT 2016 Admit card may result in technical glitches
Despite it being a very strong site capable to cope with the high volume of CAT 2016 aspirants, it may develop some technical glitches like getting slow, not displaying full details or giving you some error messages. This might create irritation and may cause more anxiety. When you can very well avoid it, there is no need to wait and waste time.

Check details & report the error
Your CAT 2016 admit card should contain all the relevant details like your name, Registration/user ID, Test venue, exam slot. If you are able to timely download the Admit Card and verify all the details like the spelling of your name, you will be able to point out the discrepancy, if any, to the help desk of CAT Centre 2016 so that the due correction can be made.
Please remember, Admit card for CAT 2016 is a mandatory requirement. You will not be allowed to enter the examination centre without a print out of your CAT 2016 Admit Card.
