• Education: Bachelors in Media Studies (Audio Visual Production)
• CAT 2019 Percentile Score: 98.07

Sandeep Raiguru, a graduate in Media & Communication from SCMC Pune and working professional from Bhubaneswar managed to do balancing between his job and CAT. Sandeep scored 98.07 percentile in CAT 2019, got interview call from IIM-Ahmedabad, MDI Gurgaon, IIM Rohtak,  XIMB, IMT Ghaziabad and converted IIM Ahmedabad, a dream of every MBA aspirant.

Sandeep scored 98.07 overall percentile in CAT 2019; 99.07 percentile in VARC section; 94.03 in DILR Section and 91.91 percentile in Quantitative Ability section. Adya Niraj: IIM Ahmedabad PGP 2020-22 - Non Engineer CAT Topper

• Education: BA, LLB
• CAT 2019 Percentile Score: 96.69

Adya Niraj, coming from Ranchi is a Miss India Finalist of 2016. She has done Bachelor of Arts and LLB with International Law Hons from National University of Study and Research in Law. She scored 96.69 percentile in CAT 2019 with a sectional percentile of  99.73 in VARC, 91.83 in DILR and 80 in Quant. Adya converted  IIM Ahmedabad, MDI Gurgaon, IIM Rohtak, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Jammu, IIT Madras, Roorkee, Dhanbad, XIMB and IMT Ghaziabad. However, Adya preferred IIM Ahmedabad to any other top B-school as she found it as the best choice for her. 

Adya has keen interest in Dancing, Writing poems, Stories and Articles. She is an avid reader as well that helped her in getting high score in VARC.  While preparing for CAT, Adya earned  five months experience as faculty at T.I.M.E., Ranchi. Adya’s parents are doctors and she has two younger siblings.

Shefali Chhaya: IIM Ahmedabad PGP 2020-22 – Non Engineer CAT Topper

• Education: BA Tourism Administration

A Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Administration,  Shefali Chhaya is a non-engineer cat topper. She belongs to Delhi and has a work experience of 25 months in Travel & Media Industry. She cracked CAT 2019 in first attempt and has joined IIM Ahmedabad flagship PGP 2020-22 programme.

Apart from CAT 2019, Shefali appeared in SNAP 2019 and NMAT by GMAC 2019 and scored high in both the MBA entrance exams. She also converted IIM Bangalore, Lucknow, Kozhikode, Shillong and other IIMs alongwith NMIMS Mumbai and SIBM Pune, but preferred to join her dream B-school-IIM Ahmedabad.

Shefali has a keen interest in  Anchoring, Travelling, Baking.  She comes from a family engaged in travel business. Her father owns an international travel company and her mother is a homemaker.

Anushree Naik: IIM Ahmedabad PGP 2020-22 – CAT Topper Non Engineer

• Education: B.Com & Chartered Accountant
• CAT 2019 Percentile Score: 98.20

The CAT 2019 Non engineer topper who scored 98.20 percentile and got into IIM Ahmedabad PGP 2020-22, AnushreeNaik has diverse personality with commerce background. Coming from the family of Chartered Accountants in Mumbai, Anushree is not only a Chartered Accountant, but is also a Graphologist, Painter and Traveller. She worked in the Internal Control and Risk Management under Corporate Finance for one year with Blue Star Limited before joining IIM Ahmedabad.

Tanuj Ruia: IIM Bangalore MBA 2020-22 – CAT Topper Non Engineer

• Education: B.Com & Chartered Accountant
• CAT 2019 Percentile Score: 99.69

Tanuj Ruia, a Chartered Accountant from Surat, scored 99.69 percentile in CAT 2019. He is a fresher and converted IIM Bangalore and Calcutta but preferred to take admission in MBA 2020-22 batch at IIM Bangalore. Tanuj appeared in XAT 2020 also and scored 98.8 percentile.

Tanuj has done B.Com from VNSGU, Surat and has no work experience. So he did not get bonus marks as defined by IIMs in their admission process. Chandanbala Shyamsunder Dhanawat: IIM Udaipur MBA 2020-22 - Non Engineer CAT Topper

• Education: B.Com
• CAT 2019 Percentile Score: 98.28

Bringing proud to her family, mentors and home town Surat, Chandanbala Shyamsunder Dhanawat, a graduate in Commerce with moderate percentage of marks, scored 98.28 percentile in CAT 2019 and converted number of top B-schools including IIM Udaipur, Rohtak, Raipur, IMT, IMI among others. However, she opted for IIM Udaipur. Chandanbala also earned 2½ years of working experience in Sales while preparing for CAT.

Chandanbala scored 51% in her B.Com. While preparing for CAT exam, she earned 2½ years of working experience as Sales Executive at Saraf Furniture. Nikita Agarwal: MDI Gurgaon PGPM 2020-22 – CAT Topper Non Engineer

• CAT 2019 Percentile Score: 99.22

Nikita Agarwal who is from Surat in Gujarat, cracked CAT 2019 with 99.22 percentile in her first attempt. Nikita has done BBA from SDJIC Surat and has taught at an NGO. She has converted number of top B-schools including New IIMs and MDI Gurgaon. Nikita belongs to a modest business class family. While preparing for CAT exam, she enjoyed her teaching at the NGO. Sourabh Singhal: SPJIMR, Mumbai PGDM 2019-21 – CAT Topper Non Engineer

• Education: B.A. (Hons) Economics 
• CAT 2019 Percentile Score: 98.92

Sourabh Singhal scored 98.92 percentile in CAT 2018, was shortlisted and offered admissions not only by SPJIMR but also by IIM Indore, IIM Shillong, New IIMs who participated in Common Admission Process, NMIMS, MDI but he preferred to join SPJIMR, Mumbai. 

Sourabh is pursuing PGDM 2019-21 at SPJIMR. He has done B.A. (Hons) Economics from Hansraj College of Delhi University. He is also a CFA- Level 2 candidate. He was part of various extra-curricular activities including President, Enactus; Project Director, Boond at Enactus Hansraj; Head of Corporate Relations cell.

To attract more non engineers, IIMs have changed CAT exam structure as well their admission policy. Weightage in the range of 5 to 10 percent is awarded in the shortlisting and final selection process by top IIMs to non engineer CAT toppers to improve academic diversity in their class rooms.

CAT 2020 can prove to be a good option for non engineers to get admission in of the top MBA colleges in India.
