MAT Application Form 2020: Last dates for CBT, IBT, PBT; Application Fee; process

Latest update: MAT 2020 Application dates for IBT exam are extended to June 30, 2020. Last chance to appear in MAT closes on July 5, 2020. MAT PBT and CBT exams are postponed and new dates will be announced later, depending upon the situation.

 

AIMA has also introduced Remote Proctored Internet Based Mode (IBT) due to Corona Virus outbreak and the candidates have the option to switch their PBT/CBT MAT application to IBT MAT application.

 

MAT application Last Date for MAT IBT Mode closes a few days before the test date while the last date of application for PBT and CBT may reopen after the IBT MAT is over. The paper based and computer based MAT exam dates are postponed and the new dates will be announced later. Earlier the exam dates for PBT MAT was June 14 and for CBT MAT was June 21.

To avoid any untoward incident due to Corona virus lockdown, AIMA has introduced Remote Proctored Internet Based Mode (IBT) from May MAT 2020 onwards, apart from the regular paper based and computer based MAT exams. Candidates can appear in the IBT-MAT from the convenience of their home instead of going to an exam centre. IBT MAT is scheduled in morning and evening time slots from May 25 to July 5, 2020.

Fresh applications for MAT May 2020 IBT Mode exam as well as the change in the application from PBT/CBT to IBT has been permitted by AIMA. The candidates who have already applied for PBT of CBT MAT exam can also change to MAT IBT Mode exam. Candidate should apply online at official AIMA MAT May 2020 website link with Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card), Net Banking, UPI and Paytm wallet. The application fees details for different modes of MAT exam are given below:

MAT Application Form: 10 Key Guidelines for Candidates by AIMA 
For the candidates preparing for May MAT 2020 for MBA admission 2020, AIMA has shared following guidelines:

  • Fresh Exam dates have been announced keeping in view the convenience of candidates
  • Candidate can opt for both the tests i.e. PBT and CBT by paying an extra fees of Rs.1100/- in addition to Rs.1650/-.
  • Candidate cannot opt for IBT along with CBT and PBT
  • Candidates opting for both PBT and CBT will have the benefit of selecting additional 2 Management Institutes for sending their scores in addition to existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutes i.e. they can select 7 Management Institutes in total.
  • Candidates now have the option to choose and register for any one or more of the three modes of test i.e., IBT, PBT and CBT
  • The candidates who have already registered for PBT/CBT are also allowed to switch to the IBT mode
  • Interested candidates can apply at AIMA MAT website and can change the preferred test mode accordingly
  • All the candidates who have applied for MAT May 2020 exam, have been intimated individually by E-mail/SMS also

How to apply for MAT Exam? Step by Step Guide   
You can complete your MAT 2020 May application process in simple five steps in a few minutes. The detailed process for MAT exam application form filling and submission is given below:

Step-1: New Candidates to Create Login ID
New candidates going for MAT 2020 application need to visit AIMA MAT website and click on New Candidate to Create Log in.

 

You have to fill the details to create Login. You must have a valid email ID for applying online. Press the button “Submit”. Once you fill the information in the form, it will not be changed.

The confirmation for the MAT Exam application 2020 will also be sent on your email as entered in the form. Please note that the Email-ID and Date of birth as filled by you will be used to login to the MAT website to fill the MAT online registration.

 

Step 2: Login and Fill MAT Application Form 2020
Once you receive the MAT exam 2020 registration number, you need to login as already registered candidate.

  • Login with the registered id, complete the MAT on-line application form, upload the scanned photograph and signature and make payment.   
  • Fill the details on the MAT online application form. 
  • Since your MAT eligibility is screened based on the information furnished by you, you are required to exercise care to correctly furnish the  details of your Qualification, etc. 
  • While filling the MAT application form online, please save the information by clicking the Button “SAVE”. 
  • In case you wish to edit any information you can do that by login again using Email‐ID and Date of birth 
  • After editing the information, make sure to save the information by clicking The button “SAVE”

Step 3: Upload Your Photograph & Signature on MAT Application Form 2020

 

Upload Photograph 

Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture. Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light‐coloured, preferably white background, and has no harsh shadows.

If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.

Ensure that both ears are visible in the picture. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face. 

 

The image should only be in .jpg or .jpeg format. Size of file should be not be more than 75 kb and not less than 20kb.

 

Upload Signature

  • Sign on white paper with Black ink pen and scan it. 
  • Scan the signature area only and  not the entire page
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50 kb. 
  • This signature would appear on the MAT Admit Card
  • If the signature image does not match the signature on the answer sheet at the time the written test and at the time of Interview, the candidature will be cancelled. 
  • The image of scanned signature in jpg/jpeg format and size should also not exceed 50KB and should not be less than 5KB

Step 4: Make Payment of MAT Application Fee
Payment of MAT exam fee can be made through online Mode only. Accordingly, to make payment of MAT exam fee for Rs.1650/- or Rs.2750/- (As may be the case) you should keep your Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking in operational condition.

 

Please note once payment of application fee is made, you will not be allowed to change/modify any information in the application form.

Your MAT application is complete now. You can view the application details by clicking the button ‘View Application’ and can take print out of the same for your record.

Before starting to fill up the MAT 2020 online application, you should keep ready with you the following details & documents:

  • Valid Email ID (the email should be valid for at least 1 year)
  • Personal details
  • Educational qualification details
  • Image of scanned photograph in jpg / jpeg format and size should not exceed 50 KB
