MAT 2020 May exam important dates and exam schedule has been revised and an additional type of IBT MAT exam has also been introduced by AIMA.

 

A Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) for May MAT 2020 is scheduled from May 25 to June 25, 2020 apart from the paper based test on June 14 and Computer based test on June 21, 2020.

To avoid any untoward incident due to Corona virus lockdown, AIMA has introduced Remote Proctored Internet Based Mode (IBT) from May MAT 2020 onwards, apart from the regular paper based and computer based MAT exams. Candidates can appear in the IBT-MAT from the convenience of their home instead of going to an exam centre.

 

The IBT MAT is scheduled in morning and evening time slots from May 25 to June 25, 2020 and MAT registration dates with separate registration fee for IBT MAT are also open now. As already announced, MAT May 2020 paper based and computer based test dates were already rescheduled to alternative dates - 14th June 2020 for Paper Based Test and 21st June 2020 for Computer Based Test.

 

MAT Exam Important Dates include the last date to apply for MAT exam and all other complete MAT important Dates 2020 beginning from the MAT Registration start date to MAT Result Date. AIMA which started conducting two paper based MAT exams and one computer based MAT exam in one month, has come back to one paper based and one computer based MAT exams in a month with the launch of an additional IBT exam..

AIMA is conducting MAT 2020 paper based test and computer based exam with a gap of more than one week. MAT 2020 Exam Dates and Important Dates to remember for MAT exam are the last date to apply for MAT Exam, last date for MAT Admit Card download and the most important MAT dates 2020 are the MAT exam dates 2020.

 

The paper based MAT exam is held in a single session from 10AM to 12.30 PM, while the computer based MAT test is held in different time slots.

 

MAT Exam 2020 Application Options
Candidate can now take MAT May 2020 Exam in following modes. One of the key features in MAT 2020 exam is that the Candidates are allowed to take both the MAT exams in the month of June 2020 for MBA admission 2020:

  1. Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT) – Can be taken from Home
  2. Paper Based Test (PBT) or
  3. Computer Based Test (CBT) or
  4. Both PBT & CBT 
  • Appear in Either of the Two MAT Exams: Paper Based Exam on June 14 or Computer Based Exam on June 21, 2020
  • Appear in Paper Based + Computer Based MAT Exam: You can opt for paper based MAT exam as well as computer based MAT exam
  • Appear in IBT MAT as per the dates given by AIMA above

MAT 2020 Important Date for Exam: A day before exam date Activity

  • Check if you have taken Print of your MAT Admit card on an A4 size paper.
  • Check if you have pasted your photograph on MAT 2020 admit card. If not, paste the identical photograph as uploaded at the time of registering for MAT 2020 at the indicated place.
  • Please note that MAT Admit Card is valid only if the candidate's photograph and signature images are legibly printed.
  • Keep the MAT Admit Card ready to carry on MAT exam date with you. MAT Admit card is to be produced for verification at the time of the test.
  • Keep ready at least one original (not photocopied or scanned) valid (not expired) photo identification card. This ID is needed to be produced for verification at the MAT Exam centre on the MAT 2020 exam date.
  • Valid and acceptable Photo IDs are: College ID, Employer ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar Card, Identification Affidavit). The candidate's photograph and  signature should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and should match the name on Admit Card. The Photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged.
  • Locate your MAT test centre and its accessibility a day before the test so that you can reach the centre on time on the MAT exam date.

MAT 2020 Exam Date Important Activity: Do’s and Don’ts

 

Do’s

  • Arrive at the MAT exam centre on the MAT exam date at least 60 minutes before the commencement of the MAT exam
  • Only Admit Card & Photo ID Card, pen & pencil, eraser, are allowed inside the MAT test hall. Nothing else is permitted.
  • Allow PwD candidates to get into test centre first as they will get priority entry

Don’ts

  • Do not carry Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, watches, calculators, other items, papers, wallets, goggles or similar such things as they are not allowed inside the test hall on MAT exam date.
  • Don’t carry valuables on MAT exam date to MAT exam centre. There is no facility for safekeeping of your personal belongings outside the test hall and MAT Centre is not responsible for its loss.
  • Don’t ask your friends and relatives to accompany you as they will not be allowed inside the test centre.

Locating your Seat on MAT Date
You should check first and locate your designated seat and test room at the entry point of MAT test centre on the MAT exam date. The Testing room and seat can be located with your roll number/registration number allotted to you. For any correspondence with AIMA regarding MAT exam, you must provide your Registration Number.

Before you enter the MAT testing hall, use the wash room as you may not be able to go to wash room during the MAT exam duration.

 

MAT an Important MBA Entrance Test
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. IBT MAT: 8 Key Features
"Remotely Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT)" has a separate exam date schedule.The key features of the exam are:

  1. For taking the test in IBT mode, instead of going to a test centre candidates could do so from the safe confines and convenience of their homes subject to certain conditions.
  2. Only the candidates with a computer together with webcam and internet facilities meeting certain specifications can appear in IBT exam.
  3. The sanctity and security of the test is effectively maintained through remote proctoring in dual mode i.e., by employing robust Artificial Intelligence (AI) based tools as also human proctors.
  4. In order to help candidates to familiarize themselves with this new mode of testing, AIMA has also scheduled mock MAT-IBT sessions at a nominal extra fee
  5. These IBT mock tests replicate the testing environment and help candidates build familiarity with the same. This ensures that the candidates are adequately prepared for the main test.
  6. Candidates now have the option to choose any one or more of the three modes of test i.e., IBT, PBT and CBT
  7. The candidates who have already registered for PBT/CBT are also allowed to switch to the IBT mode
  8. Interested candidates can register and apply at AIMA MAT website and can change the preferred test mode accordingly
