IIM Amritsar has successfully concluded the final Placement 2020 for its 4th and large PGP batch keeping its record of 100% placement. Highest salary has seen 90% hike at Rs.40 LPA from Rs. 21 LPA last year. Average salary has increased to Rs.12.61 LPA from Rs.12.20 LPA last year. For the first time, healthy spike in advisory & consulting roles was witnessed with offers from Deloitte, Ernst & Young, and KPMG

IIM Amritsar has successfully concluded the final Placement 2020 for its 4th and larger PGP batch. Not only it has broken its past record and surpassed the salary packages of its third batch but despite the large batch size of close to 100 students, the institute has achieved 100% placement with much higher offers that many well established top MBA colleges have not been able to achieve. 

Announcing the wrapping up the final placement 2020 for its third batch 2018-20, one of the 7 newest IIMs, IIM Amritsar has stated, “In a fitting conclusion to a glorious academic year 2019-20, IIM Amritsar concluded 100% final placement of its MBA04 batch, even amidst a slight economic stagnation throughout the year. The key metrics continued to display an upward trend once again this year.”

The highlight of this year's placement was a good increase in the highest package from Rs.21 LPA to Rs.40 LPA. In addition, students from the batch received attractive offers. The average for top-quartile witnessed a 15.15% growth as compared to last year, reaching Rs.17.86 LPA from Rs. 15.51 LPA.

The relevant knowledge, skill and diversity of the students attracted recruiters from various sectors spanning across all prominent domains of management. The institute hosted many first-time participants also. The placement drive saw a balanced mix of offers for all the management domains like marketing, sales, and finance, along with some noteworthy offers in operations and analytics domains.

IIM Amritsar started operation in 2015 with 45 students in its 1st batch. The second batch at IIM Amritsar with 104 students was the largest among all the newest IIMs. The successful completion of Placement 2020 for the 4th large batch at IIM Amritsar reflects its industry and corporate acceptability.

IIM Amritsar is the 15th Indian Institute of Management set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development with the support of Government of Punjab in 2015. The permanent campus of the  institute is being set up under the direction and mentorship of IIM Kozhikode.
