IMT Ghaziabad has announced on Friday, March 17, 2017, the much-awaited results of the IMT Admission Process 2017 towards the next intake of Two-year Full-time Postgraduate Programmes at Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Dubai and Hyderabad Campuses.
The Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad is India’s premier management school with a distinct focus on Innovation, Execution and Social Responsibility. The IMT Admission Process 2017 which was conducted over the course of 6 weeks, witnessed a 21 percent increase in the number of candidates who appeared for the selection process as compared to 2016. The overall applicant pool too saw an increase of 10 percent. The process successfully culminated on March 5, 2017.
CT-GE-PI: New admission process components
All the eligible candidates were subjected to the newly introduced profile-based three-step selection process. Abbreviated as CT–GE–PI, the new selection process comprised a Critical Thinking Test (CT), a Group Exercise (GE), and a Personal Interview (PI).
Critical Thinking (CT): Innovative Writing Skill Test
CT is new component of final admission round. Sharing with MBAUniverse.com regarding the CT process, IMT Ghaziabad has informed ‘CT is a 30 minute long written test to evaluate the candidate on three parameters – critical thinking, written communication skills and innovation & creativity.’
Group Exercise (GE): Replaces GD
GE is another innovative step taken by IMT Ghaziabad in the final admission process. IMT Ghaziabad has stopped conducting the conventional GD round and has replaced it with GE which is considered a better and effective process to assess the quality of candidates. About the process and nature of GE in final admission round, IMT Ghaziabad shares ‘GE is conducted in small groups wherein the candidates are given a task to perform or problem to solve. It is a 30 minute long activity and evaluates the candidates on four parameters – contribution of ideas, leadership potential, interpersonal skills and communication & attitude.’
Qualitative shift in selection process
IMT had made this qualitative shift in the selection process for the 2017 intake with an objective to achieve the best fit with the core IMT values of Innovation, Execution and Social Responsibility while recruiting the students.
The change has been acknowledged with a thumbs up by the aspirant fraternity. Candidates are not just pleased with the execution of the process but are abuzz with excitement post the result announcement.
All the candidates who appeared for the CT–GE–PI have been informed of their result over the email. The result can also be checked on the IMT Application Portal -http://admissions.imt.edu/login.htm.
