TAPMI inducts 409 students in 2013-15 PGDM programmes

TAPMI has inducted a total of 409 students in its two management programmes including 31St Batch of PGDM and 4th Batch of PGDM-Healthcare for the academic session 2013-15.
According to TAPMI, as much as 31 % of the new batch constitutes female members and over 92% of the students in the batch carry technical education like B. E or B. Tech.

TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) has inducted a total of 409 students in its two management programmes including 31St Batch of PGDM and 4th Batch of PGDM-Healthcare for the academic session 2013-15.

Inaugurating the new batch, TAPMI Director Dr R C Natarajan welcomed the new batch. He shared with the students the values that guide the institute and informed them about the prestigious accreditation given to TAPMI by AACSB International. He also introduced the new batch with the faculty members and academic practices at TAPMI.

Chief Guest on the occasion, Dr. P Tamilvanan, Chairman, New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT), Mangalore addressed the students and spoke on the qualities that they must develop to be successful future managers. He also shared his business and corporate experience on managing businesses.

Dr. H. Shantaram Administrative Officer, Academy of General Education greeted the students and shared with them the different stages of evolution process of Manipal as a global hub for higher education as envisioned by its founder Dr. TMA Pai.

According to the institute, the batch carries a good mix of students with varied backgrounds and different geographical locations from across India. “As much as 31 % of the batch constituted female members and over 92% of the batch had completed their technical education of either B. E or B. Tech,” the institute said. The students comprised of 16 % of freshers. The average work experience of the batch is 24 months with a maximum of 4.5 years.

On the second day of induction programme, the new batch interacted with alumni on the opportunities and challenges that they must be ready for. The induction programme also included cultural programme organised by the institute’s Cultural Committee.
