Management Aptitude Test (MAT) in paper pencil mode was conducted on May 4, 2014 across the country with the participation of about 20 thousand candidates. Test pattern was more or less at the same difficulty level as shared by MBAUniverse.com in its MAT May 2014 series.http://www.mbauniverse.com/article/id/7657/MAT-MAY-2014

The second option provided by AIMA for the candidates is to appear in online MAT on May 10, 2014. It will be a computer based test (CBT). No candidate can appear in Online test if he/she has already appeared in paper pencil mode.

The computer based test will be held in different time slots subject to availability. MBAUniverse.com had already suggested the time limit to solve questions in each section and those who followed it were more relaxed and composed throughout the test as they could attempt more number of questions with better accuracy.
Language comprehension section had 10 questions based on vocabulary comprising synonyms-antonyms, jumbled words and picking odd man out of them, inserting correct words to fill in the blanks. There were 5 short comprehension passages followed by 4 questions each. Other questions were based on jumbled paragraphs, core grammar usage, summary/main thought essence of paragraphs. Questions were moderately difficult and could be answered in 30 minutes.

Mathematical Skills section had around 26 questions based on Arithmetic like Percentages, Profit and Loss, Time and Work, Averages etc. The difficulty level was moderate but a bit time consuming. Candidates with more practice could do them well in time. Those who attempted this section well may expect a higher percentile.
