CAT 2014: Delay expected in issuing the admit Card

With the reopening of CAT 2014 registration process on October 10, 2014, CAT 2014 aspirants are apprehensive whether they would receive their CAT 2014 admit cards on October 16, 2014 as promised by CAT conducting IIM or the process of issuing the Admit Cards will be delayed further.

Admit Card: A mandatory document

According to CAT 2014 conducting IIM Admit Card is a mandatory document required to take the exam. You must bring a print out of your Admit Card to the exam centre. In case some delay in the process of issuing of Admit cards is perceived, CAT 2014 site has not shared the same as yet. Without Admit Card entry to test centre will not be permitted and an aspirant has to ensure to carry the print out of his CAT 2014 Admit Card with him
Issue of CAT 2014 admit cards on time: Doubtful

Earlier CAT 2014 registration process had concluded on September 30, 2014 but it reopened again on October 10, 2014. Apart from this the CAT 2014 registration site remained suspended from October 28 to October 29, 2014. The incidents of suspension of registration and reopening of it after closing date have created a doubt among the CAT 2014 aspirants whether they will get their admit cards on time as committed by IIMs or it will be a delayed affair.

In reply to the question When will I get my Admit Card? CAT 2014 conducting IIM says Admit card will be available for view and print from Thursday, 16th October 2014 onwards. You will have to log onto the CAT website with your registered User ID. As of now there is no change in the schedule but it is possible that the process can be delayed due to all the above cited reasons.

Example of delay in CAT 2014 process
Earlier it was also promised by the IIMs that the list of CAT 2014 exam centres will be available from the second week of October 2014. This second week is going to be over in 2-3 days but the list of exam centres is nowhere seen. According to CAT 2014 conducting IIM List of exam centres will be available on the website www.iimcat.ac.in from second week of October 2014. This list will be updated as more exam centres are allocated for CAT 2014. Currently, you may view all the exam cities where CAT exam can be given The CAT 2014 site however still shows the list of exam cities only without indicating when the list of exam centres will be displayed.
