MAT May 2015: Choice of paper based or computer based test; Practice well to ace the exam
MAT May 2015 will be conducted by AIMA in paper pencil mode as well as online computer based test on May 3 and May 9, 2015 respectively
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) May 2015 will be conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) in paper pencil mode as well as online computer based test on May 3 and May 9, 2015 respectively. MAT is an All India test and is gateway to MBA admission in more than 600 management institutes across the country.
MAT May 2015:Pattern and duration
MAT, May 2015 will be an objective type test with multiple-choice answers. The total time duration for the test will be 2 hrs and 30 minutes. The test will comprise 5 main subjects on which questions will be formed. AIMA has also prescribed suggested time limit to solve questions in each of the 5 sections in MAT May 2015. The test is designed to measure the test takers general aptitude in following areas

Level of Difficulty in MAT May 2015
Although MAT is a national level management entrance test, if we measure the level of difficulty in MAT, the exam is less difficult than CAT/XAT and CMAT. A candidate, if prepares well can crack MAT with high score and without much difficulty. Language comprehension in MAT is moderately difficult and questions on Mathematical skills are of matriculation standard.

MAT May 2015 CBT: May 9 onwards
There are riders to be taken care of for computer based test. The most important of them is that in case of few candidates at a particular centre designated for computer based test, these candidates might be required to appear in paper based test on May 3, 2015. So please check well which one you would like to prefer.
According to AIMA although the online computer based MAT May 2015 is proposed to be conducted from May 9, 2015 onwards, if the number of candidates registered for Computer Based test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day the test will be completed on May 9, 2015 itself.
The computer based test is also proposed to be conducted in different Time slots at specific test venues depending upon the number of candidates registering for Computer Based Test. AIMA says If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is few at a particular centre, these candidates have to appear for the Paper-Based Test on 03 May 2015.
The registration last date for MAT May 2015 is April 18, 2015. Candidates planning to appear in MAT May 2015 should not wait for the last date as the technical glitches in online registration and postal delays in offline registration may put in an embarrassing situation.
