XAT 2017: Registration opens; application fee increased - apply before Nov 30

XAT 2017 Registration has opened notifying 2 last dates to apply - one without late fee till Nov 30 and other with late fee till Dec 11
During the 3 year period XLRI has increased the XAT registration and application fee from Rs.1000/- in 2015 to Rs.1600/- in 2017

XLRI Jamshedpur the XAT 2017 conducting institute has announced the registration for XAT 2017 open from August 17, 2016. The registration and application fee for XAT 2017 has been increased to Rs. 1600/-. The last date to register and apply for XAT 2017 is November 30, 2016. XAT 2017 exam will be held on January 8, 2017 in a single session in paper pen mode from 10AM to 1.30PM.

Late registration allowed till December 11
For the first time XLRI, the XAT 2017 convening institute has offered the facility of late registration till December 11, 2016 by making payment of late fee of additional Rs.400/-. Accordingly, if you propose to apply after November 30 for XAT 2017, you have to make payment of Rs.2000/- towards registration fee.

Additional Rs.300/- required to apply for XLRI programme
Candidates interested in XLRI programme(s) need to pay an additional fee of Rs.300/- each along with XAT 2017 registration fee of Rs.1600/-. However, candidates only interested in XAT but not in XLRI need to pay a fee of Rs. 1600/-(Rupees Sixteen Hundred only).

If you register after November 30, you will have to pay Rs. 500/- instead of Rs.300/-, in case you apply to XLRI programmes also.

Registration opens 20 days before than last year
Registration for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2017 has been opened 20 days before as the registration process for XAT 2016 had started on September 4, 2015. Surprisingly the last date to register and apply for XAT 2017 has been kept same as November 30 as that of last year.

Registration fee enhanced by more than half in 3 years
This year candidates going to register for XAT 2017 will have to pay a fee of Rs. 1600/- as against the fee of Rs.1500/- for XAT 2016.  During the 3 year period XLRI has increased the XAT registration and application fee from Rs.1000/- in 2015 to Rs.1600/- in 2017.

Online Registration Process
Registration process for XAT 2017 is online however the payment of registration fee can be made online or in cash or by demand draft.

Nov 30: Last date of Registration
Registration and application process to XAT 2017 will remain open till November 30, 2016 without late fee and till December 11, with late fee. The 3 months’ time is sufficient to register and apply for the exam.

XAT 2017: Eligibility
XAT 2017 aspirants must have recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration or equivalent in any discipline. Those completing their final graduation exam by June 10, 2017 may also apply. XAT 2017 is the mandatory exam for admission to member and associate B-schools for Indian candidates, the NRI and foreign candidates may apply through their valid GMAT scores.

Candidates in Dubai and Kathmandu have the option of appearing in XAT 2017 or applying through GMAT scores.
