CAT 2016 Admit Card out: Changes the View & Download process; take prints

CAT 2016 Admit card is out with a changed process to view and download it, now candidates have to go to another icon window Assessment under the head Admit Card which will lead you to the testing time slot and will then allow you to download the document.

You now have access to it by login to CAT 2016 website with their registered ID to view, download and take the print of this mandatory document to appear in the exam on December 4. No hard copy of the CAT 2016 Admit card will be sent to any candidate

After a long wait and delay of 6 days from Oct 18 to October 24, the CAT 2016 conducting IIM Bangalore has made available the Admit card today a few minutes before 1 PM. CAT 2016 aspirants can download it now by login with their registered CAT 2015 existing user ID and password. It is further advisable to take at least 2-3 prints of the admit card after checking the details given in the document.
The CAT 2016 Admit cards were earlier announced to be available for view and print from October 18 onwards. However IIMs posted the massage later that the Admit Cards would be available to view and print on October 24 from 1 PM onwards. Better late than never CAT 2016 aspirants can view, download and take the prints of the admit cards from now on.

View & Download Process changed
After login to CAT 2016 website as existing user and clicking on Admit card icon, you will be led to Assessment window. The dropdown menu at Assessment will indicate your morning 1st shift time slot or afternoon 2nd shift time slot allotted to you. You will then be allowed to view and download the CAT 2016 Admit card.

Login allowed even before 1 PM
Unlike last year when no login was allowed prior to 12.45 PM, CAT Centre 2016 continued to allow login facility even hours before the issuance of CAT 2016 Admit Card.
Last year no CAT aspirant was allowed to login as existing user before 12.45 PM even to view the summary and details of CAT application already submitted by him. But CAT Centre 2016 has not imposed any such restriction and the access to the site as existing user has been consistently allowed although the Admit Card icon placed along the Login to View/Download Application Form/ Admit card remained inactivated till the CAT 2016 Admit Card was enabled.

View & Download Admit Card from CAT website; not from your mail
IIM Bangalore has clarified The Admit card will be available on the CAT website only, you must log in using your CAT 2016 User ID to view/print the Admit card.
Please note that your Admit card for CAT 2016 will neither be sent on your mail nor any hard copy of the same will be sent to you. You have to log onto the CAT website with your registered user ID of CAT 2016 to view and download the Admit Card.

No need to wait; download now
With 2.32 lakhs candidates thronging the website simultaneously, even a delay of few minutes in viewing and downloading the CAT 2016 Admit card may result in technical glitches increasing your waiting period
Despite it being a very strong site capable to cope with the high volume of CAT 2016 aspirants, it may develop some technical glitches like getting slow, not displaying full details or giving you some error messages. This might create irritation and may cause more anxiety. When you can very well avoid it, there is no need to wait and waste time.

Take 2 prints
According to CAT Centre 2016 Admit Card is a mandatory document required to take the exam. You must print the Admit Card and bring it to the exam centre on the day of the exam.
It will be better to take more than 2-3 prints of your admit card. Keep one with your other mandatory documents which you will have to carry to the exam centre and other with you so that in case of any query you may instantly refer to it.
Admit card for CAT 2016 is the first step in the process of getting near to the CAT 2016 exam. For example your Admit Card has brought the clarity on your date, time, test venue and slot of CAT 2016 exam.
