Graduates in Engineering desirous of pursuing MBA (Operations) from SIOM Nashik, should apply and appear in SNAP 2018 on December 16 and should also apply for admission separately to SIOM latest by January 7, 2019 till 5 P.M.

SNAP 2018: Mandatory Exam
SNAP 2018 exam scores will be the principal shortlisting criterion at Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management (SIOM) Nashik. The SIOM Admission Criteria 2019-21 describe in detail the admission eligibility, admission process, weightage to entrance exam scores, weightage to academics and work experience, final selection process among others. The B-school will accept SNAP 2018 scores for admission to its MBA programme.

SIOM Admission Eligibility

  1. To meet the SIOM eligibility criteria, the candidate must hold a minimum a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST)
  2. Graduate Engineers BE/ B Tech of any stream from statutory University are eligible to apply
  3. A candidate appearing for the final year BE/BTech and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
  4. One of the most important points in SIOM Admission Eligibility criteria is that the candidate should appear in SNAP 2018 exam on December 17, 2018 and must score minimum cut off score in the entrance exam to become eligible for admission

SIOM Admission Criteria
SIOM Nashik Admission Criteria 2019-21 is a three step process involving the Eligbility criteria, & application submission for SNAP 2018, Application for SIOM and shortlisting criteria and the Final selection Criteria.

  1. SIOM Shortlisting Criteria
    SIOM will shortlist the candidates for final selection round from among those who have applied for admission and have also appeared in SNAP 2018 exam conducted by SIU Pune. A candidate will be shortlisted by SIOM if he/she meets the following shortlisting criteria:
  • SIOM will shortlist the Candidates on the basis of information provided in the application form, SNAP scores, educational background, and work experience, if any
  • The final stage of the selection process will be held at the SIOM Nashik campus
  1. Final Admission Selection Criteria
  • All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in Final selection round for admission to SIOM Nashik
  • Final Selection Round 2019 at SIOM will have components like Written Assessment Test (WAT), Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview 
  • The candidates will be required to produce their original documents in regard to the information submitted in the application form
  • Final Admission offer at SIOM Nashik will be based on performance in WAT, GE, PI, and SNAP 2018 exam.
  • The overall objective is to select most deserving candidates.

SIOM Admission Process
Following steps are included in the SIOM Admission process:

  • Step 1: The candidate must apply and appear and score the minimum required percentile in SNAP 2018
  • Step 2: Candidates should register and apply for admission to SIOM Nashik latest by January 7, 2019
  • Step 3: Candidates are called for GE-WAT-PI Round from among the candidates who have a valid SNAP score, who have applied for admission to SIOM Pune and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme  
  • Step 4: Final selection round will be held at SIOM Nashik
  • Step 5: After the GE-PI-WAT round, final admission offers will be made to successful candidates. Admission offer will be based on the weightage awarded to SNAP score, GE, WAT and PI. Offer letters will be sent to the mailing address provided in the application form as also by email.

Details about SIOM Admission Parameters
SIOM will conduct final selection round at its campus so that the candidates can have the first hand feel of the campus and also interact with existing students to understand the Institute & its offerings better. The components of overall final selection process are:

Written Assessment Test (WAT): 10 Minutes
Candidates should complete the essay/topical write up in 10 minutes time. The evaluation will be made on the basis of written communication skills, content, language, grammar, flow of presentation. Maximum marks awarded for the exercise are 10.

Group Exercise: Specified Time
The candidates will be given an exercise /activity to be completed in group within specified time. They will be assessed for 30 marks on their communication skills, team working, problem solving ability  

Eligibility document verification
The Candidates need to produce their original documents pertaining to all information submitted in their application form regarding education, work experience, achievement as mentioned in the interview call letter.

Personal Interview: Overall Assessment
The candidates will be individually interviewed by an expert two member panel comprising of academicians/ HR professionals/ Operations management experts / corporate executives to assess the overall personality effectiveness, attitude, fitment to the programme, curricular and co-curricular performance,  professional achievements,  tenure of work experience, its relevance to programme. The personal interview process will carry 60 marks.
