Higher Education Forum (HEF) is all set to host the 9th HEF Annual Convention & Awards on the theme Skill India Build India Role of higher Education Institutions on March 10, 2018 at Pune.
Eminent academics, corporate leaders, policy makers will address the convention on the variety of issues highlighting the theme and sub themes as key note speakers, panel experts. Key note speakers in the inaugural and valedictory sessions include Mr. Narendra Barhate, MD Seed Infotech; Dr A K Sen Gupta, HEF Founder & Convener; Dr Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor NMIMS; Dr Sanjay Muthal, Executive Director, Insist Executive Search; Ms Aruna M Katara, President, Hope Foundation and Research Center; Dr Peter Cunningham, Professor Emeritus, Nelson Mandela University; Prof (Dr.) Nitin R. Keeping in view the fact that India has largest pool of youth & skilled manpower, the country has the true potential to become the global hub for providing skilled manpower both at entry as well as higher level to all sectors & industries.
With the launch of skill India campaign by the Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi which aims to train over 40 crore (40 million) people in India in different skills by 2022 with various initiatives of the Government like National Skill Development Mission, National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2015, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and the Skill loan scheme, skills Education has become an important topic of discussion. Accordingly, need of the hour of higher education institutions is to integrate education with skill and that remains a great challenge.
