May CMAT registration ends on 10th April

In order to facilitate those candidates who could not appear in the earlier CMAT-Feb 2013 & Sep 2012 -- due to late notification issued by some state governments, AICTE had announced May CMAT in March.
If you are looking for B-school admission in the academic year 2013-14 and still exploring options, May Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) offers you yet another opportunity to improve your written exam score to be eligible for admission in some of the quality B-schools across India. The registration for the same, however, closes on April 10, 2013.
The online admission test is scheduled to be held in more than 50 cities in a four day window from 19th May to 22nd May, 2013.
In order to facilitate those candidates who could not appear in the earlier CMAT due to late notification issued by the State Governments, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) had announced this additional CMAT in March.
The additional CMAT to be held in May is open for those aspirants who could not appear in both of the earlier CMAT for the admissions in academic year 2013-14. The CMAT for admission of 2013-14 was conducted twice i.e. in September -October, 2012 & February, 2013. It was informed that students can appear in both the test however, better of the two scores will be used for allotment of seats in 2013-14 session.
For the aspirants belonging to Jammu & Kashmir, an additional centre at Srinagar has been created for conducting May CMAT.
AICTE has already notified that all AICTE approved institutions will be using CMAT scores for admission to the MBA programme for academic year 2013-14.

Pattern of examination for CMAT:

While 4 marks would be awarded for each correct answer, there shall be negative marking for wrong answers. For each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted.

The May CMAT will be conducted in following cities from 19th May to 22nd May, 2013:
Ahmadabad, Coimbatore, Kanpur, Patna, Ahmednagar, Davangere, Kochi, Pune, Allahabad, Dehradun, Kolhapur, Rajkot, Amravati, Delhi, Kolkata, Raipur, Amritsar, Dharwad, Kozhikode, Ranchi, Aurangabad, Gulbarga, Lucknow, Shimla, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Madurai, Surat, Belgaum, Guwahati, Mangalore, Trivandrum, Bellary, Gwalior, Meerut, Udaipur, Bhavnagar, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Vadodara, Bhopal, Indore, Mysore, Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Visakhapatnam, Bhuj, Jaipur, Nasik, Chandigarh, Jammu, Noida, Chennai, Jodhpur and Patna.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses can apply for CMAT.
The eligibility criteria for admission to Management programs (Diploma and Post Graduation) is as mentioned below
- Management (PGDM, MBA and similar) : Recognized Bachelors Degree of minimum 3 years duration Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination
- Management (PGCM) : Recognized Bachelors Degree of minimum 3 years duration
- Management (Executive PGDM): Any recognized Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration and a minimum of 5 years relevant managerial / supervisory experience. Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination
