A team of 2nd year PGDM students from SP Jain Institute of Management Research (SPJIMR) has won L'Oreal International Brandstorm Finals 2013 held in Paris on June 21, 2013.
The SPJIMR team comprising three students of 2nd year PGDM batch - Ujjwal Chaddha, Mitali Parekh and Himanshi Dandona, who represented India at this international platform, competed with 37 teams (countries) from across the world during the Semi-Finals round.
The team was in the top 3 finalists along with the teams from France and Greece. The International Finals were held at Grand Palais, Paris.
The eminent jury for the Award consisted of the L'oreal Group Executive Vice President (HR), Group Executive VP- Strategic Marketing, L'Oreal Paris Vice-President Global Integrated Communications, President McCann World Group, President Consumer Products, L'oreal Gp, Brand Global President, L'oreal Paris.
The Team from SPJIMR also won a cash award of 10,000 Euros for the Best Integrated Marketing Communication campaign.
The L'oreal Brandstorm process starts in December and over 10,000 teams from across the world participate in this prestigious competition. Out of these, only 37 teams made it to Paris, representing their countries. From India, over 200 teams participated this year and only 4 made it to National Finals.
“We started in December and it has been a long journey for all of us since then. Prof. Renuka Kamath and Prof Ashita Sharma have been mentoring the team and have spent many many hours with them for brainstorming sessions and rehearsals. It’s really a great feeling today to see the team winning at such a prestigious platform,” said a spokesperson from SPJIMR.
