CAT 2013 Day nine first session is over. The difficulty level of Quant section was moderate while Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability was average in difficulty level. This article brings you the analysis of the first session of CAT day nine.
DI was very easy in my paper. I attempted all the 9 questions with 100% accuracy. LR was a bit tricky but doable. I would get around 95 percentile this time

Today is the ninth day of CAT 2013 exam. The first session for Day 9, on Saturday, October 26, 2013 got over this afternoon at 1.00 PM. MBAUniverse.com editorial team was present on many centers in New Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and spoke to students for their first reaction and feedback. According to the students, the difficulty level of Quant section was moderate while Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability was average in difficulty level.

Randhir Singh, a test taker at Greater Noida shared his CAT 2013 experience and said, “Verbal was very easy for me although I was very worried about it. Quant was moderate with maximum questions in Functions. RC was also easy. ”

One of the test takers in New Delhi, Suraj Kumar said, “DI was very easy in my paper. I attempted all the 9 questions with 100% accuracy. LR was a bit tricky but doable. I would get around 95 percentile this time.”

CAT 2013 Day 9 first Session Sectional Analysis:

Quantitative Ability: Moderate in difficulty level
Quantitative Ability area had maximum questions from Functions and Algebra. Rests of the questions were from the other known topics such as number system, Mensuration, Time & Speed & Distance, P&C and Geomtery, etc. Most of the questions were of LOD 2.

Data Interpretation: Easy
DI questions were termed as easy by many aspirants. Questions were based on Simple interest, bar diagram and Pie charts.

Verbal Ability: Average in Difficulty level
Verbal Ability was termed as average in difficulty level by many aspirants of first session on Day 9. Questions were distributed among the usual topics of verbal ability like sentence correction, para jumbles, Vocabulary, Fill in the blanks, out of context and fill in the blanks.

RC had a total of 10 questions for 3 passages which were descriptive in nature. All the passages were small with direct questions and easy to understand. At least one passage contained a poem which was easy to comprehend.

Logical Reasoning: Easy
The Logical Reasoning questions were easy and had sets on arrangements, letter series and clocks. There were around 8-10 questions in LR in 3 sets.

CAT 2013 result is scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. CAT 2013 candidates can view their results on MBAUniverse.com with their roll number, username and password. The CAT 2013 result score card will be valid between January 14, 2014 and December 31, 2014.
