The Thunderbird School of Global Management plans to get into a strategic alliance with Laureate Education, Inc which will enable it to open multiple international campuses. This venture will allow the students to study outside the U.S. at permanent campus sites as well as at the historic campus in Glendale, Arizona.
This alliance is a bid to expand thunderbird’s global footprint by permanent campus locations around the world, including campuses initially in Brazil, Chile, France and Spain. The effect of alliance will maintain complete control over its brand, curriculum, faculty, admission standards and all other aspects of academic affairs, for both existing and new programs.
Since its coming into existence, for nearly 70 years, Thunderbird has been one of the world leaders in global management education. The planned alliance will equip the school to build on this tradition—remain Thunderbird—but with the capacity to grow programs and offerings in significant ways.
The Strategic alliance will Provide access to resources and the development of new online mediums, undergraduate degree programs and expand executive education to new clients, especially in Europe and Latin America. That will also allow reaching more multinational companies in more locations around the globe.
The alliance will enable Thunderbird to recruit more of the world’s leading global business faculty and provide opportunity to students to study in abroad beyond their home campus in new locations around the world.
