The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI is going to organize the 9th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2013, a two day Global Conference, on November 13 & 14, 2013 at FICCI , New Delhi.

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) in partnership with Ministry of Human Resource Development and Planning Commission, Government of India is going to organize the 9th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2013, a two day Global Conference, on November 13 & 14, 2013 at FICCI , New Delhi. The summit will emphasize over the need of improvement in the areas of education, skills, research and innovation which are the thrust areas for sustaining economic growth and critical to achieve Indias aspirations as a global player in the world economy. The theme of the Summit is Building Networks for Transforming Indian Higher Education: Enabling to Deliver Value

Some of the key Speakers who will address the Summit are Prof Glyn Davis, Vice Chancellor, University of Melbourne; Ms Naina Lal Kidwai, President, FICCI, Prof Ved Prakash, Chairman, University Grants Commission, Dr Eileen Peacock-AACSB, Vice President and Chief Officer, Asia,AACSB International, Mr Sangeet Chowfla, President, Graduate Management Admission Council; Dr Mamdouh Shoukri , President and Vice-Chancellor York University, Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Director, Australia India Institute, Mr Baijayant Jay Panda, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, and Dr Mary Sue Coleman, President, University of Michigan, USA.

The discussions during the summit would focus on leveraging knowledge, skills and innovation networks to achieve Access, Equity and Quality in higher education. Through this Summit, key policy makers, educationists, media, industry and other stakeholders at both national and international level will come together for interactions, knowledge sharing and deliberating an action plan going forward.

More than 650 delegates are expected to participate in the Summit.
