With the 4th edition of annual MBAUniverse.com B-school Ranking 2013- 14, India’s most comprehensive & ‘toughest’ MBA ranking has thrown up many surprises, with IIM Bangalore displacing IIM Calcutta as India’s 2nd best B-school, and SP Jain Institute of Management Research edging out many IIMs to get at No 6 position. The survey results have reached & influenced more than 150,000 MBA aspirants helping them apply to right B-schools for MBA admissions 2014.
For the first time Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has got the second place after IIM Ahmedabad thus pushing IIM Calcutta (IIMC) down to the third position. The participation of IIMB in the MBAUniverse.com B Schools ranking 2013 is one of the unique features of this ranking as it’s the MBAUniverse.com only which got a chance to rank IIMB among the top B schools.
B School Ranking 2013 - 14: MBAUniverse.com released; offers many surprises
MBAUniverse.com will be coming out with a series of different articles about the 2013-14 B schools rankings. This article will help the aspirants to compare the MBAUniverse.com B School Ranking 2014 with the 2013 rankings of Outlook Magazine and Business Today so that they are able to finalize about which school to go for in the upcoming sessions.
MBAUniverse.com used the provision of Right to Information (RTI) to gather valuable information from maximum number of B Schools of the country.
The survey has been conducted under the guidance of a high-power advisory body, headed by Padma Shree Dr Bakul Dholakia, former director of IIM Ahmedabad. Appreciating the Ranking process, Dr Dholakia said, “As the Chairman of the MBAUniverse.com Ranking 2013-14 Advisory Body, I am satisfied with the objectives, processes adopted, and the final outcome of the Rankings. I applaud MBAUniverse.com for getting relevant data from virtually every B-school that matters, even if they had to use provisions of RTI Act in some cases.”
More than 100 B schools, including 11 IIMs, XLRI, FMS-Delhi University, JBIMS, SPJIMR, MDI, NMIMS University and IMT, participated in the survey. Publications like Business Today and Outlook also published their annual B School Ranking for 2013
