The not-for-profit NIIT University (NU) hosted the 5th Annual Lecture on November 16, 2013 by Dr. Karan Singh, Chairperson NIIT University and Member of Parliament. Dr. Karan Singh also awarded degree certificates to the B.Tech and MBA students. The entire graduating batch of 2013 had job offers in hand even before the convocation.
The event held in NIIT University campus, Neemrana, also witnessed an inspirational Convocation Address on how youth can bring about change - “You can be the Difference” by Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairman & MD, Biocon Ltd.
Many academicians, industry leaders and students converged at NU to deliberate upon role of technology in making quality education available to the youth.
Congratulating Mr. Rajendra S Pawar, Founder, NIIT University and Chairman, NIIT Limited and his team on successful completion of four years of excellence in holistic education, Dr. Karan Singh, said, “Quest for knowledge is eternal and true knowledge should help transform young minds into ‘karma yogis’ who would strive to work for the betterment of the society. Over the last four years, by marrying the best of tradition and modern day education, NIIT University has helped in creating thirst for knowledge and aptitude for critical thinking amongst their students, who are now ready to apply their learning to real life problems and emerge as leaders of a better tomorrow.”

Speaking to the students during her Convocation Address, Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairman & MD, Biocon Ltd., said “Our youth has to lead a transformation through innovation and entrepreneurship. I am confident that NU students will bring pride to their alma mater by their significant acts of nation building.”
