XAT 2014: 84000 applications already received; 3 days to go, Apply Now

As the XAT 2014 registration process nears its end about 84,000 plus students have registered themselves for XAT 2014 as on November 27, 2013. The registrations will end on December 2, 2013. Speaking to MBAUniverse.com,XLRIexamination chairperson Dr Vishwa Ballabh said that the cities taking the lead in XAT 2014 registration are Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad.

As XLRI has already extended the last date of registration to XAT 2014 by 10 days till December 2, 2013 from the previous closing date of November 22, 2013, so there is no possibility of further extension in the last date of registration. In view of Prof. S.K. Agarwal, expert and mentor for MBA preparation candidates shouldnt wait for the last date and must register as early as possible as some technical snags and glitches in on line registration process might appear on the last day due to heavy rush on the site.

Xavier Aptitude Test- XAT 2014,conductedbyXLRI Jamshedpur,will be held onJanuary 5, 2014across the country as well as in two cities abroad namely Dubai and Kathmandu. A total of 116 institutes including XLRI, XIMB, LIBA, SP JAIN, TAPMI, XIMR, GIM, XIME, BIMTECH,IMT-Ghaziabad and many others also accept theXAT scores.

XAT 2014 will have the same pattern like that of XAT 2013 consisting of two parts to be attempted during three hours duration from 10.30 A.M. to 1.30 P.M.

XAT 2014 Exam Pattern
XAT 2014 will again have two separate sections on General Knowledge and essay writing although the marks of these sections will not be used for determining the percentile and cut off at the first stage of selection. But the same are used byXLRIand some other Associate Member institutes at the time of final selection.

As far as theadmissions in XLRIare concerned, candidates may apply for more than one program in the institute. Those who apply for multiple programs may be called for multiple interviews and/or group discussions.
The selection criteria for different programs may differ depending on the nature of the program.
