DTE Mumbai had confirmed that it shall conduct MAH CET 2014 for MBA/MMS Admission 2014 Maharashtra. This article gives you an in-depth analysis of MAH-MBA / MMS-CET 2014.
Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai has announced the exam date for MAH CET 2014 for Admission to First Year MBA/MMS for 2014-2015 in Maharashtra.
 
 The notification released by Director of technical education Dr. Subhash Mahajan on November 21st, 2013 stated that, The Online Common Entrance test (MAH MBA/MMS CET 2014) will be conducted on Saturday, March 15, 2014 and Sunday, March 16, 2014.
 
 Last year, admissions to the MBA institutes in the Maharashtra were carried out on the basis of Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

 What is MAH MBA/MMS CET 2014?
 Candidates seeking admission to AICTE approved first year of two years full time post graduate degree courses in MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM for the year 2014-15 in Maharashtra state have to give MAH-MBA / MMS-CET 2014.
 
 Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai shall conduct the Common Entrance Test for Admission to First Year MBA/MMS for 2014-2015 in Maharashtra.
 
 According to a notification released by DTE, 85% seats in the government run and aided MBA /MMS institutes in the state and 65% seats at private unaided and minority institutes will be filled through the MAH-MBA / MMS-CET from 2014. Another 15% seats will be filled through the all India quota.
 
 The all India quota refers to students who appear in the nationally recognized tests, such as the CAT conducted by the IIMs, JMET conducted by the IITs, MAT conducted by the AIMA, XAT conducted by the XLRI, and ATMA conducted by the AIMS. Students who appear for the CMAT will now be allotted seats at institutes in the state through the all India quota, the notification said.
 
 Implications of MAH CET 2014
 Admission to all MBA/MMS programmes of B schools in Maharashtra will be done thorough MAH CET 2014.
 As many as 406 institutes with a total of 45,621 seats will use MAH-MBA / MMS-CET 2014 for admission to their MBA/MMS courses in Maharashtra.
 
 MAH CET MBA 2014: FAQs for Aspirants
 Candidate must have passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA ( 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and physically handicap belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelors degree to appear for MAH CET MBA 2014
 
 Registration for MAH- MBA/MMS-CET 2014 is Mandatory for all candidates irrespective of their appearance in All India CET. Such candidates may not appear for MAH-CET 2014. However they are required to register and appear for GD & PI.
 
 If you have appeared for nationally recognized tests, it is not necessary to appear at MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2014. Your score of All India CET will be valid for the admission provided the score is more than the cut-off.
 However you are required to register both for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2014 as well as for GD&PI. Further it is mandatory to appear for the GD,PI conducted by Competent Authority of State of Maharashtra for seeking admission through CAP.
 
 Nationally recognized tests refers to CAT 2013 conducted by the IIMs, JMET conducted by the IITs, MAT conducted by the AIMA, XAT 2014 conducted by the XLRI, ATMA conducted by the AIMS and CMAT 2013-14 conducted by AICTE.
 
 If you have scores in both All India tests and MAH CET MBA 2014, then best of the two scores shall be considered for deciding the merit for ALL India Seats subject to the fulfillment of condition of the cut-off marks.

 MAH CET 2014 Exam Pattern:
 DTE has not yet announced MAHCET 2014 exam pattern but it is expected that the MAH CET 2014 Exam Pattern will be same as before. MBAUniverse.com will continue to update you on MAH CET 2014 exam pattern.
 Unlike past year, MAHCET 2014 will be held in an online test format.The duration will be 150 minutes or 2.5 hours. There will be 200 questions asked from 5 different areas including Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation/Data Sufficiency and Reasoning. MAH CET 2014 exam pattern does not contain any negative marking in the paper.

 B schools welcome MAH CET 2014
 Last year, admissions to the MBA institutes in the Maharashtra were carried out on the basis of Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The reduction in enrollment to MBA programmes last year due to change in admission process had hit the institutes in Maharashtra very badly.

 MAH CET 2014 Result
 The dates of MAH CET 2014 results are not announced yet but MAH CET 2014 result is expected to be out in April 2014 as per last exam trends.
