Envisaging to build a strong student exchange programme IFIM Business school signed an MoU with Plymouth University, UK on March 11, 2014 in Bangalore announcing the beginning of an alliance to encourage regular interaction between their faculty and students in various academic and research activities.  Dr. D. N Murthy, Dean-Research & International Relations, IFIM Business School initiated the signing with Mr. Troy Heffernan, Director - International Programmes, Plymouth University.

Emphasizing the objectives of the collaboration Dr D.N. Murthy said  "This collaboration is another milestone in our vision to accentuate our continued commitment to increase higher education opportunities for our students."

Further commenting on partnership, Mr. Troy Heffernan, said, "We are delighted about the collaboration and our continued commitment to increase higher education opportunities for the students in our communities. This partnership will allow IFIM Business School and Plymouth University to work together as a team, combine our resources and open yet another door for students to gain international experience."
 
The Alliance aims to see both the educational establishments promote mutually beneficial activities in the areas of education, research and other academic subjects, for the common goal of globalization of higher education. In today's competitive world, global exposure has become a very integral part of education as it helps to bridge the gap between people from different nationalities and also provides a global learning platform.   

The collaborative arrangement between the two institutions includes exchange of information and materials that are of mutual interest, joint research projects by faculty and provide high quality educational opportunities to support future growth in business and employment. There will also be regular faculty and student exchanges.
 
IFIM Business School, Bangalore was founded in the year 1995 with its first batch of students graduating in 1997. Over the years it has grown to be one of the renowned business schools in India. It is one of the few private management institutes that have been approved to offer a Ph.D program in Management.

Plymouth University is one of the UK's prominent and dynamic universities with an educational history dating back to 1862. With over 30,000 students it is 9th largest in the United Kingdom.
