BIMTECH Greater Noida Placements 2014 beats the slowdown; 55% rise in highest salary
Placement 2014 at BIMTECH Greater Noida saw an increase of highest salary from Rs 9.65 lakhs in 2013 to Rs 15 lakhs in 2014 marking an increase of 55% in the highest salary while average salary has also gone up in comparison to placement 2013
Placement 2014 for PGDM batch 2012-2014 at Birla Institute of Management and Technology BIMTECH, Greater Noida is over, marking an increase of 55% in the highest salary while average salary has also gone up in comparison to placement 2013. According to Prof K K Krishnan, Chairperson, Centre for Corporate Relations Very briefly, it has been all about overcoming the head winds. The volatile economic conditions of 2013 14 have been posing a great challenge to the Centre for Corporate Relations (CCR), BIMTECH in placements. However, owing to the concerted efforts of faculty, staff and students, considerable progress could be made with the situation looking decidedly very much better now than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Key Trends in placement 2014
BIMTECH has a consistent record of very good placement. The placement season 2014 was no exception to this achievement.
As scheduled, the campus placement process at BIMTECH began on October 1, 2013. More students in 2014 sought placement in comparison to 163 students in 2013.
Rise in Number of recruiters
Placement 2014 witnessed a rise of in number of recruiters over 61 recruiters in placement season 2013 while new recruiters like Trident India made the first time debut at BIMTECH and offered the highest salary to the bright students of the PGDM.
BFSI & Consultancy: major recruiting sector
Banking, Financial services and Insurance(BFSI) and consultancy emerged as the prominent recruiting sector in placement 2014 at BIMTECH. Other top segments with more role offers were IT & ITeS, Manufacturing, Retail, Consultancy, FMCG and Market Research.
Highest and Average Salary up
Beating the slow down in placement offers, the placement season 2014 at BIMTECH saw a 55% rise in highest domestic salary from Rs.9.65 lakhs to Rs. 15 lakhs per annum. International placement highest package also went up from Rs. 17.5 lakhs to Rs 19 lakhs adding another feather in cap of BIMTECH Greater Noida.
Average salary has also gone up from Rs.6.10 lakhs in 2013 to Rs.6.75 lakhs in placement 2014 while the lowest salary stood at Rs.4 lakhs per annum. The upward swing shows a rising trend in the job market.
Top Recruiters at BIMTECH
Trident India, the first time recruiter at BIMTECH emerged as the company offering the highest salary of Rs. 15 lakhs to the students seeking placement. Highlighting the qualities of students at BIMTECH, Prof K K Krishnan said They competed against the very best from IIMs and other bespoke institutes.
Apart from the above, top recruiters at the campus included Deolitte, HDFC Ergo, TCS, TVS, Tata Chroma, IFFCO Tokkio, HCL Infosystems, KPMG, Kotak Mahindra, Blue Dart, S&P Capital IQ, IndusInd Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Dabur India, LG, Samsung, Ernst & Young, Philips, Adani Enterprises, TCS (BPS), Nerolac, Reckitt Benckiser, ICICI Bank, Titan Industries, Abbott.
