The bigger issue is - how do we see Indian MBA education 10 years from now – in 2025? It’s time, we came together to develop a vision for the future of Indian MBA education. With guidance from gurus & stakeholders, IMC 2014 will help develop a vision for the future. The vision document will then galvanize our thinking & also become a tool to influence policy.”

Let’s look at the evolution of IMC Conference & Awards.

Evolution of IMC Conference & Awards

Since 2008, Indian MBA education is facing unprecedented challenges. Like Policy conundrum, miss-match in demand & supply of MBA seats, lack of Employability of MBA graduates, and little focus on delivering quality education that have eroded the credibility of Indian MBA education. However there wasn’t a serious platform to discuss and debate the impact of massive changes. To fill this void, IMC started its journey in 2010 - to provide a platform for discussion on the challenges we faced. The first three Conclaves (2010, 2011 & 2012) were primarily devoted to understanding the malady.

Since 2013, having discussed the problems and challenges in great detail, the focus shifted on finding solutions to the challenges. To facilitate this, MBAUniverse.com held the 1st IMC Awards to highlight Case-studies where B-schools made a difference with innovations in marketing, pedagogy, curriculum and industry-engagement. Overall, IMC 2013 was partially successful in shifting the focus from Challenges to Solutions.

Now it’s time to move forward with greater focus on seeking the answers.
