IMT Ghaziabad wins SABMiller Indias Brew a Career National Case Study Competition

Team Millennials from IMT (Indian Management Institute) Ghaziabad emerged as winners in the competitive grand finale of Brew-a-Career national case study competition organized by SABMiller India, the Indian arm of the worlds second largest brewer SABMiller plc, at Bangalore. The winning team was awarded with a two months pre placement internship offer at SABMiller India along with prize money worth Rs.1,00,000.

10 teams from the 396 participating teams across 14 campuses, presented their case study solutions to the judging panel comprising of the Executive Committee of SABMiller India at Bangalore. The business case studies were based on some actual challenges that the businesses face in todays environment and evaluated students for their analytical abilities, problem solving skills and the ability to function in a highly regulated environment.

Teams from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Delhi, Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur and others participated in the competition. Team from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta was declared runners up and won prize money of Rs. 25,000.

The judging panel comprised of the Executive Committee of SABMiller India- Mr. Grant Liversage- Managing Director; Mr. Shalabh Seth Sales Director; Mr. Darioush Afzali - Marketing Director; Mr. KS Pande Supply Chain Director, Mr. Alok Ranjan - Human Resources Director; Mr. Creso H P de Macedo Technical Director and Mr. Tejvir Singh Finance Director.

At the award ceremony,Mr. Grant Liversage, Managing Director, SABMiller India, saidThe caliber of commitment and detailed analysis by the teams were very remarkable. The research conducted and recommendations proposed merit a special mention, they were well thought through.
