SPJIMR to start admission process on September 21, 2014; targets more global students

S P Jain Institute of management & Research (SPJIMR) Mumbai, one of the top rated Private B schools in India is all set to start its admission process for PGDM 2015-17 batch, in the third week of September, 2014, preferably on September 21, 2014. The application process will continue till November 30, 2014.

Sharing the information exclusively with MBAUniverse.com, Dr Atish Kumar Chattopadhyay, Dy Director PGDM, SPJIMR said that SPJIMR will target more international students from countries like UK, USA, Canada, Malaysia, UAE, and many more to internationalize,further spread, improve global student interaction in Indian management education.

Dr Atish has emphasized that SPJIMR has maintained 40% ratio of Girl students in admissions at SPJIMR on merits only. There is no extra weightage or reservation for girl candidates and all of them are offered admission only on merit grounds.

CAT 2014, XAT 2015 Scores accepted

Like other top rated B schools, SPJIMR will accept CAT 2014, XAT 2015 scores for Indian Nationals and GMAT scores for foreign nationals. Aspirants who explore admission opportunity in SPJIMR need to score high sectional as well as overall percentile in these exams.

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2014, gateway to PGDM programmes to premier B schools like IIMs, SPJIMR, MDI, IMT is scheduled to be held on November 16 and November 22, 2014 across 99 test cities in India. CAT 2014 aspirants apart from registering and appearing in CAT 2014 have to apply to these B schools to seek admission in session 2015-16. Registration for CAT 2014 will remain open till September 30, 2014.

XAT 2015 gateway of admission to XLRI and other associated B schools will be conducted on January 4, 2015 in 47 cities across the country in a single session. XAT 2015 will be a paper pencil mode test of 3 hours duration. Registration for XAT 2015 will remain open till November 22, 2014.

Online application process

Aspirants seeking admission to PGDM 2015-17 at SPJIMR, must complete and submit the application form online when the admission process opens on September 21, 2014.
Application fee is Rs. 1200/- (Rs One thousand two hundred only) The fee can be paid through credit card or net banking

SPJIMR to offer 2 specialization choices at application stage

Applicants to PGDM admission 2015-17 batch at SPJIMR need to opt for two specializations at the time of submitting application. Selecting 2 options at this stage means that the aspirants who are not short listed for the first option will be considered for the second option. The out come of the first option will have no bearing on the process for considering the applicant for the second option.

Apart from Scores Excellent profile is the selection criterion

Apart from high overall as well as sectional percentiles, candidates with excellent academic profile and work experience.

The selection process for admission to PGDM 2015-17 batch will assess not only the intellectual reainess in terms of academics but also emotional readiness, work experience, extracurricular activities and aptitude for and befitting the institutes mission of value based leadership.

Intake at SPJIMR

The flagship PGDM programme 2015-17 at SPJIMR will have an intake of 240 for Indian Nationals. An additional 36 seats will be available for PIO/OCI and Foreign Nationals. Hence the total intake for session 2015-16 will be 276 seats
