CAT 2014: Rectify Discrepancy from today; dates postponed and changed from Nov 25 to Nov 27

CAT Centre 2014 has postponed and changed the dates and time to rectify and correct the mistakes in your date of birth and gender in the registration form from Nov 25 2014 to Nov 27, 2014. The Test Day guide which detailed all the information for the CAT 2014 registered candidates stated Discrepancy, if any, in Date of Birth and/or Gender can be edited on the CAT website from 25th Nov 2014, 10:00 AM to 28th Nov 2014, 05:00 PM.

This was also mentioned on the Admit Card of the CAT 2014 test taker at point number 12. However, due to one or other problem the decision to postpone and change the dates for rectification of discrepencies in Gender and date of Birth as entered in CAT 2014 registration form or as appeared in the Admit card has been taken by the CAT Centre 2014.

The changed dates vis--vis earlier announced dates and time are as under
Dates: Earlier it was announced that the dates to rectify the discrepancy were from Nov 25, 2014 to Nov 28, 2014.
Time: Candidates were asked to edit the discrepancy from 10 AM on Nov 25 to 5 PM on Nov 28, 2014.

Revised schedule
The new schedule as announced by the CAT Centre 2014 in lieu of the earlier one is that the candidates can now rectify the discrepancies in Date of Birth and Gender w e f 12 PM on Nov 27 to 12PM on December 3, 2014.
Confusion persists; information not updated

Number of Candidates who were waiting to rectify these details have no knowledge of this change in date and time as the change has neither been mentioned in the FAQs nor in the test day guide which have the same old information displayed on the site.

FAQs under the Test Day (new) at query no. 5 displays the following message-

CAT Centre 2014 replies
This is NOT true. Candidate may change only Date of Birth and/or Gender if it is currently showing incorrectly. No other fields will be editable. This is clearly mentioned as point number 12 on your Admit Card.

The information under the Heading CAT 2014 Test Day Guide (a PDF document) repeats the same information on CAT 2014 site under the head Admit Card point no. 12 Discrepancy, if any, in Date of Birth (printed above) and/or Gender can be edited on the CAT website from 25thNov 2014, 10:00 AM to 28th Nov 2014, 05:00 PM

Where to look for the Revised information
The revised information of changed dates and time slot to rectify the discrepancy is available on the flickering ticker of highlights which is out of your eyes in a flicker of moment. The highlight reads Candidates can correct their DOB/Gender in the application from 27 Nov 12.00 PM to 3 Dec 12.00 PM. Interestingly you have to assume the year as it doesnt mention 2014.
