CAT 2014 Takers: Have you rectified DOB, Gender discrepancy; only 2 days available

There were thousands of CAT 2014 takers who found that their Admit cards contained discrepancy in their Date of Birth or Gender. They were not able to edit and rectify the same as the correction fields were not open for rectification. Number of complaints were received at CAT Centre 2014 requesting it to open the profile rectification window but CAT Centre 2014 didnt allow the changes in all the profile details and categorically stated Candidate may change only Date of Birth and/or Gender if it is currently showing incorrectly. No other fields will be editable. This is clearly mentioned as point number 12 on your Admit Card.

However this facility of rectification was postponed and the dates were changed with the editing date starting from Nov 27 in place of Nov 25, 2014, and closing date fixed to Dec 3 instead of Nov 28, 2014. The provision to edit these details was also mentioned on the Admit Card of the CAT 2014 test taker at point number 12. But CAT Centre 2014 has now postponed and changed the editing dates in Gender and date of Birth.

There are only 2 days available to rectify the discrepancy now. If you have not rectified the discrepancy till now, you should do it as the last minute technical glitches may not be ruled out. CAT Centre 2014 has clarified that the candidates can now rectify the discrepancies in Date of Birth and Gender w e f 12 PM on Nov 27 to 12PM on December 3, 2014.

This is the last opportunity to rectify what went wrong earlier. No further opportunity is likely to appear again to edit these or any other details. Make sure that the corrections are correct and are updated in your registration form.

CAT 2014 site: Only ticker highlights

CAT Centre 2014 has not updated this important information in its FAQs section or in Test day guide. Both of these sections display the same old dates. A flickering ticker only highlights this information on the home page of CAT 2014 site. Please therefore do not get confused by the information in FAQs or test day guide section.

How to edit

Login with your CAT 2014 id and password. Go to Applicant details. On the very first page displaying your photograph, you have consecutive 2 columns of Date of Birth and Gender. Click on the one you wish to edit. After editing it, save it and check it after wards also to ensure that it has been corrected as required.

Please note no other correction is allowed. Since only 2 days are left to edit the information, make sure that you complete it within the specified date and time limit.
