XLRI has extended the last date for registration and admission process from Dec 21 to Dec 26, 2014. Your XAT 2015 scores would lead to admission in flagship PGDM programme batch 2015-17 at XLRI Jamshedpur if you register and apply to XLRI till Dec 26, 2014, the last date of submission of admission application at XLRI.

XL-RAPT for FPM in XLRI
According to Prof Munish Thakur, Convener XAT 2015 and XLRI admission chairperson
“XLRI would have a separate examination (XL-RAPT) for admission to the doctoral program (FPM) on 3rd of January, a day before the XAT”.
Those who wish to pursue the doctoral FPM programme at XLRI should apply to XLRI and should appear in XL-RAPT to be considered for the FPM admission in XLRI.
Apply individually to the B school
It is not only XLRI but out of the 90000 XAT 2015 registered aspirants, the candidates have to apply separately to each B school going to accept XAT 2015. XLRI further shares “XAT is a common test for admission into academic programmes of XLRI and XAT Associate Member Institutes. If you are interested in XLRI or any other XAT Associate Member Institutes, you need to register and apply separately for the academic programmes of XLRI or to the institutes of your choice.” Admission aspirants to the B schools accepting XAT 2015 therefore, have to apply to the respective B school as per its admission process.
Why to wait for last minute rush: apply to XLRI now
A candidate, who has registered for XAT 2015 and has obtained XAT ID and password, had made the requisite payment and completed the XAT registration procedure can apply for admission in XLRI. The registration process is online for XLRI.
Unless you are registered for XAT 2015, you will not be eligible to apply for XLRI programmes BM, HRM, Global MBA, GMP.
The registration and application fee for XLRI is Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One thousand five hundred only) for all candidates irrespective to any number of programmes.
How to get shortlisted at XLRI
XLRI does not have any cut off based on any of the X, XII, graduation marks. The evaluation of candidates' academic competence will be evaluated holistically by XLRI based on candidates' performance in interview, group discussion and XAT written test.
XLRI application: Remember the following
- A candidate with recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized university or a deemed university or the candidate in the final year of graduation is eligible for admission to XLRI. However the candidate needs to complete the final year examination by June 10, 2015.
- In case you lose the XLRI pay-in-slip which was stamped by IDBI bank you should go to the IDBI Bank Branch where you paid the XLRI charges with a copy of the XLRI printable page and request them to give you a photocopy of the pay-in-slip and put COPY along with bank's original seal and signature on it.
- XLRI will accept only XAT 2015 and GMAT scores for admission 2015. Scores of any other exams like CAT/CMAT/MAT will not be accepted by this top rated B school.
