No more speculation and anxiety on CAT 2014 result declaration remains now as the Dec 27 as the date for CAT 2014 result has been announced by CAT Centre 2014. Confirming the result date to MBAUniverse.com, Dr Rohit Kapoor, CAT 2014 Convener and Faculty IIM Indore has informed “On 27th Dec, 2014 evening, we are going to release the results for the candidates”.
The delay of one week in declaration of CAT 2014 result is mainly due to the fact that final checks were underway to see if there were any flaw in the process of score normalization in CAT 2014 result. CAT Centre 2014 wanted to ensure at all the points that no cause of worry for the CAT 2014 takers in score normalization must be present once the CAT 2014 result is declared.
Candidates would remember that the declaration of CAT 2013 result brought some bad experience in score normalization due to which a few legal cases are still pending in the courts of Indore, the city of CAT 2013 conducting IIM Indore. To avoid any such repetition of unpleasant situation and to ensure that all the CAT 2014 are assessed judiciously through a transparent process, the emphasis was on full fairness. Once it was achieved, CAT Centre 2014 took no time in announcing the result declaration date.
Time of result: Download and take prints
CAT 2014 result as shared by the CAT Centre 2014 will be declared on Dec 27, 2014 in the evening. CAT 2014 takers will be able to view and download their score cards from CAT 2014 site from Dec 27 onwards after login with the CAT 2014 registered ID and password.
It is advisable to download and take a few more prints of the CAT 2014 score card when it is made available on the CAT 2014 site after declaration of CAT 2014 result to explore admission possibilities in the relevant B schools in accordance with the scored percentile.
Guidelines to check the result
The CAT 2014 takers should login to CAT 2014 site with CAT 2014 registered ID and click on the result icon to view and download their score cards. Since nearly 1.70 lakh test takers will be visiting CAT 2014 website simultaneously the downloading process may be slowed down due to heavy rush.
