MAH CET 2015 Registration: No academic details required; deliberate step or oblivious DTE

The Registration and Application process for MAHCET 2015 for admission to MBA/MMS 2015-17 doesnt ask you to fill up the academic details. It has not been ascertained whether DTE Maharashtra forgot to ask for academic details or the omission of step in the registration process is deliberate.

Registration for MAHCET 2015 was opened on Feb 18, 2015. DTE will close the registration process on Feb 27, 2015. Late registration upto March 2, 2015 till 5 PM is also allowed by DTE Maharashtra.

No Academic details: Only personal data

The registration and application form requires only your personal information but no academic details. Your name, fathers name, Mothers name, Gender, date of Birth, Address, email ID, Mobile number, whether you are Maharashtra state candidate or Outside Maharashtra state candidate need to be filled up in the application form.

No other management entrance exam like CAT/XAT/CMAT provides such exemption of not entering the academic details in the registration form as is available for MAHCET 2015. The candidate has to fill up the qualification as well as the percentage of marks obtained in relevant examination in all other exams.

Ineligible candidates: no check

Minimum percentage of marks required to appear in MAHCET 2015 is 50%. Since there is no check in the application form regarding such academic declaration by the candidate, a candidate with lesser score can also apply and appear in the exam to assess his knowledge and IQ.

Education profile: need at CAP round

All the details about academic qualifications, work experience and other details will be required at the time of Centralized Admission Process (CAP) which will be conducted after declaration of MAHCET 2015 result.

Registration Fee

Registration fee for Open Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates and NRI/Foreign Nationals / PIO/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries Candidates is Rs 1000/-

However, For Candidates of Backward Class Categories SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only the registration fee is Rs 800/-

Registration: online process only

DTE Maharashtra has allowed only online registration process for MAHCET 2015. Applications sent by Post/Courier / by hand to ARCs/DTE office will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be made. It should be noted that no documents are required to be submitted at this stage. Candidates are advised to keep the necessary documents ready at the time of Document verification stage as per the notified schedule.

During online form filling, candidate will be required to choose Password and Security Question and its Answer. Candidate is advised to record/remember the Application ID and Password for all future logins.

Registration closes Feb 27

The registration process will continue till 5 PM on Feb 27, 2015, DTE has also allowed the late registration for MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2015 till 5 PM on March 2, 2015.
