The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) established in the year 2000 is celebrating 15 years of an enriching existence in September 2015. As the first British University to have an international campus, The University of Nottingham has a rich heritage and history since its establishment in the year 1948.
In 2000, UNMC opened in Kuala Lumpur as the first international branch of a British University. The first courses offered at UNMC were MBA, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Sciences and Business. Ever since its inception UNMC has been receiving a number of awards, accolades and recognition including Queens Award for Enterprise and UN recognition in the year 2014.
Since 2007, University of Nottingham Business School (NUBS) has featured among the worlds best business schools to pursue MBA.
Built in a lush 125-acre campus in Semenyih, The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus is now home to more than 4500 students alone with international students from over 70 countries. UNMC now offers more than 80 accredited programs with all subjects in the Top 200.
About The University of Nottingham, UK
The University of Nottingham was established in 1881 as Nottinghams first civic college. In the year 1948, the college was awarded the Royal Charter and became The University of Nottingham. Even in its early days, the college attracted high profile visiting lecturers including Prof Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi and H G Wells.
