IIM Bangalore ranked 48th in Global FT Executive Education 2015 Rankings

IIM Bangalore has added another feather to its cap and has become the only Indian Business School to feature in the Financial Times Executive Education 2015 Top 50 Rankings

True to its Motto ‘Tejasvi navadhitamastu’ (Let our efforts at learning be luminous and filled with joy, and endowed with the force of purpose),  IIM Bangalore has added another feather to its cap and has become  the only Indian Business School to feature in the Financial Times Executive Education 2015 Top 50 Rankings published in May 2015.

The FT 2015 Rankings have positioned IIM Bangalore at the 48th position alongside prestigious institutions like the London Business School, Duke Corporate Education, IMD, Harvard School of Business, University of Oxford among others

On the occasion Professor Shyamal Roy, Chairperson, Executive Education, IIM Bangalore said “IIMB’s position in the Financial Times 2015 Rankings reflects our efforts towards achieving academic excellence and positions us as the forefront of imparting world class business education in India. It encourages us to continue our commitment to design and offer MBA programmes that will cater to the emerging global requirements”. 

IIM Bangalore has repeated its success of 2014 by retaining its position at the 53rd ranking in the Open Executive Education programme in FT 2015 Executive Education Rankings. IIMB has also made a debut in the FT Customized Executive Education Rankings at the 57th position.

“With a goal to provide the best education in the country, we focus on creating a favourable environment for the students. These efforts help us gain recognition by top executives and corporations in the company. Despite the current challenging job market scenario, it’s important for professionals from across verticals to acquire skills needed to climb up the ladder and move places. IIMB’s tailor made programmes equips professionals to learn about the development of businesses and boost their confidence”, added Professor Shyamal Roy.

Executive education offers non-degree programmes to corporations and working professionals which are either ‘Customized’ according to the requirement for the organization or ‘Open’  for all professionals for enrolment.

The Financial Times 2015 rankings are based on the participants’ and clients’ satisfaction, the diversity of participants and faculty and the schools international exposure. The participant schools are marked on different parameters from preparation to facilities, which accounts to 80% of the total overall ranking.

The 17th Financial Times executive education ranked top premier B-Schools including IIM Bangalore  across the world, which includes a record number of programmes. Financial Times Annual Ranking is one of the most rigorous and most respected media B-school rankings across the globe.

One of the top 3 business schools in India, IIM Bangalore is the only Indian B-school in GNAM list. IIM Bangalore has been accredited by EQUIS the international accreditation agency and is the first B-School in Asia to sign an agreement with Harvard Business Publishing (HBP) to distribute faculty teaching cases. 

IIM Bangalore Director, Dr. Sushil Vachani is a great academician and leader. The B school is doing wonders in his leadership. Dr. Vachani received his doctorate in International Business from the Harvard Business School, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.  Dr Vachani has designed, taught and coordinated programs for students, executives and policy makers in the U S, Japan, China and India.
