Great Lakes: open admission for its One Year flagship PGPM 2016-17; will accept CAT, XAT, GMAT scores
Great Lakes Chennai has announced the admissions open for its flagship One Year full time PGPM 2016-17 which will be commenced in April 2016
Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, a premier B-school in the country announced the admissions open for its flagship One Year full time Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) which will be commenced in April 2016. There will be two cycles of admission and the deadlines for applying are November 30, 2015 & January 31, 2016 respectively. Students need to have at least 2 years of experience by March 31, 2016 for applying and should have valid GMAT/CAT/XAT/GMAT scores.
PGPM 2016-17: Flagship 1 year programme
PGPM is the Great Lakes full-time one-year fast-track residential Post Graduate Program in Management for candidates with at least 24 months of work experience. PGPM offers specializations in Finance, Marketing, IT and Economics, operations, OB and Strategy, Business Analytics.
The one year programme format is designed in consonance with the current trends in Europe and other parts of the world. According to Great Lakes Management Institute, One-year programs are more rigorous than two year programs. In terms of the number of classroom hours, there wont be a significant difference between a two year course and a one year course.
Generally, there are no holidays between terms. Working executives would rather be away from work just for a year instead of 2 years. Also the one-year program enables students to start working a year earlier.
Application for PGPM
PGPM admission process is also divided in 2 cycles. While the last date to submit the application for Cycle one is November 30, 2015, it is January 31, 2016 for second cycle.
Eligibility for PGPM
1. All applicants are required to appear for GMAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT before applying.
2. CAT scores of the year 2014 and 2015, XAT scores of the year 2015 and 2016 or GMAT scores taken in and after Jan-2013 will be considered for PGPM 2017 admissions.
3. Candidates should have bachelors degree from a recognized university or institute
4. Candidates should have minimum full time work experience of 2 years by 31st March, 2016.
Apart from all the above eligibility criteria, candidates are required to have a minimum work experience of 2 years by March 31, 2016. Candidates found not fulfilling this criteria will not be admitted to PGPM 2016-17 at Great Lakes.
IMPORTANT DATES:
1. PGPM 2016-17 Admissions open from: 20-August-2015
2. Cycle 1 Submission Date: 30-November-2015
3. GDPI Dates for Cycle 1: 13 & 20-Dcemeber-2015
4. Cycle 2 Submission Date: 31-January-2015
5. GDPI Dates for Cycle 2: 13 & 14 & 20 & 21-February-2015
GDPI for PGPM 2016-17
Cycle First: Last date to submit the application November 30, 2015
GDPI for Cycle 1 applicants will be held on December 13 and 20, 2015 in Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad
Cycle second: Last date to submit the application January 31, 2016
GDPI for Cycle-2 is also expected to be held in the same cities on February 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2016.
Fee structure for PGPM
Total fee for 1 year PGPM 2016-17, including lodging & boarding, according to Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai is Rs. 17.05 lakhs

Registration and beginning of orientation: Third week of April 2016
Term 1 begins after orientation: Fourth week of April 2016
