IMT Admissions Process for PGDM/MBA 2016 across IMT campuses (Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Dubai) has started on Sep 1, 2015. Sharing the information with MBAUniverse.com, IMT has informed while application process for PGDM admission has begun on September 1 it will close on November 26, 2015. There is Common Application form devised by IMT to apply to all the campuses. The Application form is available online on IMT website.

How to apply
To apply to IMT an applicant must complete the online ‘Application Form’. There is one common Application Form for all four campuses - Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Dubai.

On the Application Form the candidate must provide educational qualifications, contact details, etc. and at least one of the following: registration number for CAT 2015 or ID for XAT 2016 or ID for GMAT or roll-no.for CMAT. IMT Ghaziabad will be accepting CAT/XAT/GMAT. IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad will be accepting CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT (January 2016). The applicant is required to fill the IDs of the entire test score he/she wishes to submit. After completing the form, the applicant can make payment of application fee of Rs. 2000/- by one of the following options:

1) Pay directly through credit/debit card or Net Banking: If the payment goes through and ‘Application Number’ is generated, the application is considered submitted. Applicants will receive a confirmation email within the next 24 hours.

2) Pay through demand draft: The applicant must make a demand draft payable to “Institute of Management Technology” payable at Ghaziabad or Delhi for the amount of Rs 2000/-. On the ‘Application Form’, applicants must provide the demand draft number, name of bank, date, location of bank and amount. After providing these details, the applicant will be directed to a new window that has the details of the information submitted and the ‘tear-off’ sheet together with an ‘Application Form Number’.

Applicants should take a printout of this form and keep it for their future reference. Applicants must affix their passport-size self-attested photo to the tear-off sheet and send the demand draft along with it. Once the demand draft and tear-off sheet are received by IMT Ghaziabad, the status is automatically updated on the website. Applicants will also receive a confirmation email within the next 24 hours.

Applicants are advised to have their demand draft details ready before filling the form.

Exam scores accepted for shortlisting
To register for admission process, the candidate must provide educational qualifications, contact details, etc. and at least one of the following: registration number for CAT 2015 or ID for XAT 2016 or ID for GMAT (if available) or Roll-No for CMAT (if available). IMT Ghaziabad will be accepting CAT/XAT/GMAT (test taken between 1st January 2012 – 31 March 2016) while IMT Nagpur and Hyderabad will be accepting CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT (to be conducted in January 2016).

All the candidates are required to update their GMAT/ CMAT Test score, on or before 15 April 2016. Additionally, in case of CAT and XAT, all applicants are required to fill the registration number of the test score that he/she is willing to submit. For candidates who are applying on the basis of GMAT/CMAT and their score is not updated, processing of application will be provisional.

For IMT, Dubai, all Indian Resident students are required to take an English Proficiency Test. The minimum score, which is required for admission is 6.0 for IELTS, 550 for paper-based TOEFL while 79 for internet-based TOEFL test. All the scores are valid for a period of 2 years only.

Admissions Eligibility
Applicants for PGDM programmes must have a minimum three-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum 50 percent aggregate marks in any discipline. Applicants who are appearing for the final-year degree examination can also apply.

Applicants for PGDM (Executive) must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50 percent marks and a minimum five years work experience after graduation as of 30th June 2016.

CnPI round
IMT will short-list the candidates for interview based on their best available test scores in CAT/XAT/GMAT for IMT Ghaziabad campus and CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score for Nagpur and Hyderabad campus. The Communication and Personal Interview Process (CnPI) will be conducted at one of the centres selected by the candidates in Communication& Personal Interview Schedule Form available on IMT's Admissions Portal during a specific period of time in the month of January 2016. The details of the same will be mailed to the candidate.

Post short-listing on the basis of available scores, the shortlisted candidates will be called in for a Communication and Personal Interview (CnPI) round. The candidates will face a written communication test (WCT) followed by a Personal Interview (PI). The IMT panel of experts will test the candidate’s oral communication skills, analytical and leadership skills, language proficiency, coherence, work experience, domain knowledge etc. After the CnPI process, IMT will take the final decision on admission by taking into account the candidate’s academic record, entrance test scores, work experience and performance in the CnPI round.

Applicants will be called for PI round only once
Short-listed applicants will be called for an interview round at the centre they had selected through Communication & Personal Interview Schedule Form, which will be available on IMT's Admissions Portal and enabled for specific period in the month of January 2016.

Session to begin in June 2016
All PGDM/MBA programmes for academic year 2016 are proposed to start in June 2016.
