CAT 2015: Registration extension announcement today; dont miss the last opportunity

CAT 2015 registration date has been extended by the CAT convening IIM Ahmedabad for few more days. An announcement to this effect will be made in public domain today on September 19, 2015 just a day before the earlier closing date fixed for Sep 20, 2015. Thousands of CAT 2015 aspirants missed to register in time due to one or other reason despite consistent awareness campaign carried out on MBAUniverse.com portal to finalise their registration well within time to avoid any technical glitches in the last days. The CAT 2015 convener has also advised the CAT 2015 aspirants through MBAUniverse.com to avoid last day of registration. But may be on account of other engagements, candidates could not register and apply for the largest MBA/PGDM entrance test in India for admission to academic session 2016-17.

As a result only 92000+ candidates could register for CAT 2015 till September 13 and with the pace the increase in registration was going we already anticipated the extension in CAT 2015 registration last date.
However, in the last week before closing date on Sep 20, 2015 heavy rush of CAT 2015 aspirants to register and apply has probably compelled the CAT 2015 convening IIM Ahmedabad to extend the last date of CAT 2015 registration for few more days.

CAT 2015 aspirants may treat it as a windfall to complete their registration and application process without waiting for the extended last date. It would be better if you finalize the registration within 2-3 days from today.
CAT 2015 is the mandatory exam for admission to flagship PGP 2016-18 batch in 20 IIMs and other top rated B-schools like FMS, MDI, SPJIMR, IMI, IMT, BIMTECH, NITIE, TAPMI, Great Lakes, IFMR among others.
The registration process for CAT 2015 is online and can be completed in 20-30 minutes in a single go. Candidates should read the guidelines available on CAT 2015 website before proceeding for registration and application process.

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 will be held on November 29, 2015 in 2 sessions in 136 test cities at 650 test venues. CAT 2015 is a computer based test of 3 hours duration with 100 questions in MCQ and NON-MCQ format and divided in 3 sections. CAT 2015 takers shall have to score minimum prescribed percentile in each section to qualify for first stage shortlisting by IIMs for admission 2016.
To facilitate all such CAT 2015 aspirants who are not able to complete their registration process till September 20, 2015 due to one or other problem, IIM Ahmedabad has offered yet another opportunity to complete the registration process for CAT 2015 by extending the CAT 2015 registration date for a few more days.
