Paper pen based format in SNAP test is proposed to continue not only for SNAP 2015 but for future exams also till the zero error in computer based format especially while copying the Data Interpretation questions is ensured. According to Dr R Raman Convener SNAP 2015 & Director SIBM Pune “SNAP 2015 will be a paper-pen based exam and most probably SNAP 2016 would also be paper-pen based.”

14 Symbiosis B-schools affiliated to Symbiosis International University (SIU) will shortlist the students for admission to their flagship MBA 2016-18 programme on the basis of scores obtained in paper pen based SNAP 2015 to be held on Dec 20, 2015 in 30 cities across the country.

In a highly advanced technological environment when exams are gradually switching over to computer based pattern, Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) 2015 and the future ones also are proposed to remain paper pen based. The thought behind keeping SNAP a conventional paper based exam is more to benefit the test takers so that they make fewer mistakes as compared to Computer based exam.

Sharing with MBAUniverse.com the vision behind continuing SNAP 2015 and future SNAP tests on Paper based format Dr R Raman Convener SNAP 2015 & Director SIBM Pune says “With an online exam, there are higher chances to make mistakes especially while copying data in Data Interpretation questions. Also making notes, marking questions which are important is also not very convenient. Until the online pattern of exam is proved & tested for ease, and convenience for aspirants, SNAP will remain paper-pen based only”.

DI an important component of SNAP 2015
There will be 40 questions on Quant Data Interpretation and Data sufficiency in SNAP 2015. The importance of this section is as high as any other section in the exam. In case, while copying the data like graphs, bars, tables, comparative analysis charts and others get some deviations or even a single mistake of presentation, on computer based format the entire question set goes wrong. SIU therefore, as of now is not in favour to switch the SNAP test over to computer based exam.
