IIM Tiruchirappalli has concluded its final placement 2016 maintaining 100% record with sharp increase in highest and average salary packages offered to its students of PGP 2014-16 class.
The final Placement process of the PGP 2014-16 batch at Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli saw 22.1% increase in the Highest CTC and a 14.9% increase in the average CTC offered. The placement season 2016 touched new heights surpassing the industry expectations with 90 prominent companies participating in the process making 102 offers for a batch of 102 students. The students also secured 21 PPIs/PPOs (Pre-Placement Interviews and Pre-Placement Offers) across verticals. IIM Trichy also recorded international offers through opportunities in the APAC region.
The highlight of the process was the diverse leadership roles such as Executive Assistant to CEO, Business Analyst to MD, etc. that were offered to the students. The enriched experience and the skills acquired through intense curriculum helped the students bag coveted roles such as Strategy and Operations Consultant, Data Scientist, Product Manager, Functional Consultant, BA-ERP Consultant, Sr. Business Analyst, Sales & Marketing Trainee, etc. across the domains of BFSI, E-commerce, Consulting & Analytics, Manufacturing, Telecom, FMCG & Consumer Durables, Health Care, IT/ITES among others.
Key Trends in placement 2016
IIM Trichy has a consistent record of excellent placement. The batch size of the two year post graduate programme in management at this highly ranked B school increased from 80 students in 2013 to 102 students for PGP 2014-16 batch. All the 102 students who registered and participated in the Placement 2016 got suitable placement offers.

Number of recruiters at IIM Trichy rose from 76 to 90 in Placement 2016 making more offers to 102 students. The students also secured 21 Pre Placement Offers.

Average and highest compensation 2016
Beating the slowdown in placement offers, the placement season 2016 at IIM Trichy saw the highest remuneration of INR 23.81 lakhs which is a marked increase of 22.1% over previous year (INR19.50 Lakhs) and an average package of INR 13.01 lakhs with an increase of 14.9% over previous year (INR11.32 Lakhs) showing a rising trend in the job market.
While the top 10 percentilers got an average annual compensation of Rs. 19.80 lakhs, the average salary for top 25 percentilers was Rs. 17.34 lakhs followed by Rs. 15.62 lakhs for top 50 percentiles. For top 75 percentile it stood at Rs14.25 lakhs per annum and the lowest salary offered remained at Rs.8.39 lakhs.
