IIM Amritsar one of the 6 newest IIMs and 15th among the 19 IIMs, set up so far, is going to organize the 1st edition of A-Square, its maiden management conclave on March 5, 2016 at Amritsar. The theme of the conclave is ‘India: Opportunities and challenges for Business’. The one-day long event proposes to witness an active participation from corporate and academic fronts.
A significant part of the conclave will comprise speaker sessions, which will enable a detailed and intellectually stimulating discourse on core related issues to the business trajectory of India. Speakers will be bringing out recent developments in their respective fields. The objective of the conclave is to offer a forum for the industry and academia to come together and share the latest knowledge and practices in the field of business.
The conclave aims to host eminent leaders from diverse fields who have expertise and experience of their respective areas. The speakers would be from the fields of advertisement, consulting, finance and technology.
Key speakers comprise prominent industry leaders such as Mr. Rupak Aggarwal, CEO, Godrej Properties; Mr. Pankaj Dubey, MD Polaris India; Mr. Milan Agnihotri Chief catalyst- creative Leo Burnett; Mr. Avnish Sabrawal, MD Accenture; Mr. Ashish Gupta, Partner Taxes, KPMG; Mr. Ajit Singh VP, HR Encore Capital Group; Mr. Saurabh Dasgupta, Executive Creative Director, Innocean Worldwide India; Mr. Basant Maheshwari, Investor, Author, Co- founder & Partner at Basant Maheshwari Wealth Advisers among others. More speakers are scheduled to speak at the event.
The participants, including corporates and students of IIM Amritsar would take this as an opportunity to interact with the panellists and get cues to carve their way to be the leaders of tomorrow.
IIM Amritsar is one of the newest IIMs that began operation with their maiden PGP 2015-17 batch. Students at IIM Amritsar during the first few years from 2015 will have the learning experience from the faculty of highly ranked IIM Kozhikode, the mentor institute of IIM Amritsar. IIM Kozhikode will continue mentoring the IIM Amritsar till it becomes fully functional in its permanent campus and gets its own permanent faculty.
IIM Amritsar at present is functioning from its temporary campus at Punjab Institute of Technology near the Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU). The permanent 60 acres campus of IIM Amritsar is being made ready about 5 Kms from City limits at Nijjerpura and Rakh Cheetha villages near Manawala on Amritsar-Jalandhar GT Road. The site is 7Kms away from ISBT (Inter-State Bus Terminus); 9 Kms from Railway station and 18 Kms from Sri Guru Ram Das ji International Airport, Amritsar. IIM Amritsar proposes a batch size of 60 students for PGP 2016-18. The final admission offer to the candidates for PGP 2016-18 are to be made through the Common Admission Process (CAP) 2016 being coordinated by IIM Kashipur for 9 IIMs and will be over on March 4, 2016 at all the 5 cities.
