MAT 2016 September exam online registration last date has been extended till August 31, 2016 while the last date to obtain the application form from AIMA is already over on August 20, 2016. You are left with a week’s time to register for MAT 2016 September exam in online mode for option 1 only.
AIMA’s list of B-schools accepting MAT 2016 September exam scores consists of 164 B-schools spread across different regions of India. However, it is necessary to check with the Managament institutes whether they would be accepting MAT scores for admission.
Another key point is that MAT 2016 September exam scores will be considered for admission to MBA/PGDM 2017-19 batch and not in 2016. Accordingly, September MAT 2016 will be the first exam for MBA admission in 2017.
MAT 2016: Registration fee
Registration fee for MAT 2016 September exam is Rs.1200/-. You can pay through Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card)/Net Banking or can obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. Then you can register online at AIMA website. You should fill up the registration form alongwith the DD details.
If you have obtained Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from listed Nodal Centres of AIMA OR from AIMA, New Delhi your option of submitting the application form closes today on August 23, 2016.

Candidates choosing to apply at the last moment may not rule out technical glitches in the online mode and should therefore register much before the closing hours. As such there is no point waiting for the avoidable last minute rush and getting your application fee stuck and then running from pillar to post to get the things put in order. Applicability of MAT 2016 September exam score
The scores of MAT 2016 September exam will take you to MBA 2017 since by the time the MAT result is declared, almost all the good MBA/PGDM colleges would have closed their admission process. The score will remain valid for 1 year.
Online process
You have to fill the details to create Login and must have a valid email ID for applying online. Press the button “Submit”. Once the information is filled in the form, it will not be changed.
The confirmation for the registration will also be sent on your email as entered in the form. Please note that the Email-ID and Date of birth as filled by you will be used to login to the website to fill the online application form.
Good chance
Since there are candidates who have already registered and have been allotted registration number but have not paid the requisite fee to appear in MAT 2016 September exam, they can now login with their registered id and complete the on-line application form to appear in computer based MAT 2016 September test.

Option-1 is the online registration process where payment is to be made with Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card) payment or Demand draft. The candidate exercising option-1 will also have to upload the image of the photograph & signature in On-line application form.

MAT is a national level entrance test for admission to PGDM institutes where thousands of the aspirants test their skills. The test is conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association). Usually there are 4 MAT tests in a year viz February, May, September and December. The scores of MAT 2016 September exam will be used as admission criteria for MBA/PGDM programmes commencing 2017-19.
